Third Person's POV
The silence in the hospital room was thick with tension, broken only by the rhythmic beeping of the heart monitor. Zayn's father sat beside him, his hands wrapped around Zayn's. Eyes closed in a silent prayer. Muskan stood a few steps away, her heart racing as she watched Zayn's chest rise and fall with each shallow breath.
The steady beep of the heart monitor filled the silence of the room, a constant reminder of Zayn's fragile state. As Zayn's eyelids fluttered open, a wave of relief washed over his father.
"Zayn? Are you awake?" he asked softly, leaning closer. Zayn blinked slowly, trying to focus.
Seeing his son's weak and pained expression, Zayn's father's concern deepened. He quickly reached for the call button beside the bed and pressed it firmly.
A few moments later, the door to the room opened, and the doctor walked in, clipboard in hand. He was a middle-aged man with a calm demeanor, accustomed to the flurry of emotions that often accompanied hospital visits.
"Ah, Mr. Akhtar, I see you're awake," the doctor greeted Zayn, his tone professional but kind.
Zayn managed a small nod, his eyes betraying the weariness he felt.
The doctor approached the bed, his gaze quickly assessing Zayn's condition. He gently checked the bandage on Zayn's head and the monitor that beeped softly beside him.
"How are you feeling?" the doctor asked, his eyes meeting Zayn's.
"A bit sore, but I'm okay," Zayn replied, trying to sound nonchalant.
The doctor gave him a knowing look, clearly not buying the casual response. He then turned to Zayn's father, who was watching anxiously.
"His vitals are stable, and it's a good sign that he's conscious and alert," the doctor explained. "But he'll need rest and careful monitoring for the next few days."
Zayn's father nodded, absorbing the information. "And the pain? Is it... normal?" he asked, his voice betraying the worry that had been gnawing at him.
The doctor nodded. "Pain is to be expected, especially with the injuries he sustained. We'll adjust his medication to help manage it better."
