"I joined the circuits to find a new skin, to celebrate the crime of not fitting in. I came for the music and the thirty-thousand-foot view, that shows us what one song can do," -cameron crowe, almost famous

When the concert is over, when the sets and the mics and the amps and the lights all start to come down, Travis Kelce's night is only beginning. That's when he pushes his way through the busy hallway to the green room of the arena, still needing to get his interview.

That's what his readers are there for, after all. They don't just want to read another review of The 1975's show. As the matter of fact, not many people want to read the reviews at all. They'd just buy a ticket, or watch clips of the show on the internet. People can make up their own minds nowadays, with footage of the show so readily accessible. That makes Travis's job more difficult. To get readers, he's got to get the exclusive content.

So, he makes his way backstage. He has to sweet talk Matty Healy into giving him an interview.

The band's front man is infamous for not talking to journalists. Travis is worried. This is the first major story that the magazine that he writes for has trusted him with. If he knows one thing for sure, it's that he can't fuck this up.

So, the man enters the green room. He notes instantly that it's a lot calmer in here as he sits down on a sofa, looking around through florescent lights. There's only a few girls, all gathered around an armchair. One is standing behind it, one perched on either arm, and one sitting on the cushion. They're all whispering about something and giggling, but eventually, the one sitting in the middle of the chair looks up, her eyes meeting his.

She's got blonde hair which in any other scenario may be described as unruly. But here, backstage at a rock concert, the way her curls are tousled and free is nothing short of sexy. The woman dons a black corset top that leaves little to the imagination and the shortest red skirt he's ever seen. Finishing off her outfit is sultry eye makeup and black cowboy boots with red flowers stitched into them. As Travis looks at her, he can't help but draw in a quick breath.

She stands up. "Well, it's impolite to stare without introducing yourself first," the woman remarks walking over to him with her hand held out. "Lucy Arcana. And you are...?"

He swallows. Everything about her is glamorous. Even her name. "Travis... Travis Kelce."

"Oh, babe," she says, dragging her finger across the top of his chest, "you're going to need a cooler name than that if you're going to be hanging out around here." Behind Lucy, the girls all giggle, until she turns around and looks at them. One look is all it takes for them to be silent. "So, who are you with? I've never seen you around."

He swallows. "I'm a writer for Grunge. The music magazine. I'm here for an interview with, um, Matty Healy."

The mysterious woman in front of him laughs and his heart races. "Good luck with that one," she says. "He doesn't give interviews. Not to anyone, not ever."

"Are you like, his girlfriend?" Travis asks.

The corners of Lucy's lips turn up into a smirk. "Well, I wouldn't exactly use the term girlfriend." She gives him a wink and sits down beside him on the sofa, stretching out her long legs and resting them atop the coffee table in front of her. "But something like that, I suppose."

"Oh." Travis takes a moment to process her words, and then, it clicks. "Oh. You're the groupies."  His eyes cross the other three women in the room, before one speaks up, a young woman with dark skin and long hair dressed in a tight tawny dress.
