hi hi hi omg it has been foreeevvveeerrrr! i have had the wooorrssstt writer's block lately oh my goodness. i have been keeping myself quite busy though! for those of you who don't read my message board (i just run my mouth on there LMAO)- since my last chapter, i've been to two gracie abrams concerts so i am the deepest into my gracie abrams era that i have ever been even though i have been a huge fan for yeeeaarrrss now lol. one of them was solo and that was maybe the most cathartic experience i have ever had. i absolutely love a solo concert. oh yeah, and also i moved continents last week. casual stuff. then i got home and was out with a cold within 48 hours because of the moving/travel stress and plane germs lol. ask me about how much i hate the airport in iceland!!
anyway, this chapter was just my attempt to write something, anything... and it's really just basically a modified true story because i did in fact get ghosted by my situationship after informing him that i would not be singing at an open mic with him so this one shot is dedicated to him <3 when i say the writer's block has been bad, i really do mean it because normally writing taygracie stuff is my favorite thing ever and even getting myself to write this was rooouuugghhh so if you have any ideas you'd like to see me write that might help inspire me, please do drop them in the comments i beg of you. hahaha. anyway i will stop lore dropping on my life and shut up now lmao but love you all and hope you enjoy this one xx

It's been months since the Eras Tour closed and Taylor's been loving having some down time to relax. As much as she loves performing, she gave that tour everything that she had. She's relishing in the normal life- or as normal as it can be for a global superstar. For her, that really just means letting Travis step into the spotlight for a while, taking some time to let him be the one dictating where they go and she will happily follow. The off-season has been incredible. By late spring, though, it becomes clear that there's one thing that she misses more than anything else from Eras: the people.

They all became a family in that experience. Two years of laughing and crying, of fear and happiness and disappointment and joy- that'll do it. She's also a hundred percent convinced that it was the best group of people she's ever toured with- people who she hopes to continue working with for the rest of her career. The musicians, the dancers, the openers...

But the friendship formed with Gracie Abrams was maybe the closest of all. They became the best of friends behind the scenes, spending afternoons in each other's dressing rooms while Taylor practiced the surprise songs. They confided in each other and had each other's back for the entire tour- and they haven't seen each other since the Grammys. Even that was very briefly in passing. So, after a quick text invite, Gracie shows up to Taylor's New York City apartment one evening, ready to spend some time with her friend.

It's a wonderful reunion, complete with hugs and glasses of wine in their hands within only a few minutes. They're chatting away as though no time at all has passed between the two of them. Even Travis is laughing as they're shooting the shit and Gracie is recounting some stories from her world tour over the past few months.

As Taylor excuses herself to go check on dinner, she leaves Gracie and Travis in the room together. They glance at each other for a moment, each unsure of what to say to the other, before Gracie looks down at her phone, then sighs, leaning back into the couch cushions.

Travis senses her frustration and raises his eyebrows. "You all good?"

She sighs. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine." The huff of air that escapes her mouth indicates otherwise as she runs her hand through her hair, pushing it back and out of her face. Finally: "Boys are stupid."

Travis can't help but laugh at that. "My apologies on behalf of my sex." He pauses and then: "I wish I could help you out but honestly, Gracie, there's not many guys that I know that are the right age for you and that I'd be comfortable setting you up with. You're right, they're stupid, especially when they're young. I was pretty damn stupid... up until I met Tay, honestly."
