Taylor's better judgement tells her that she shouldn't say yes to Travis's question right away. Him asking her to be his girlfriend, that is. As sweet as he was on the date, as wonderful and incredible and magical as that kiss was, he does have a reputation. She doesn't want to be just another one of his exes in two months' time. Even after everything he said about wanting to change that reputation, she doesn't jump right away.

He understands her hesitancy. However, he's so determined to prove to her that he's going to be a gentleman. The best boyfriend she could imagine. And a week later, after bringing her juice boxes and crackers to rehearsals every day, running music in a practice room with her during their lunch period, and two more stolen kisses that were just as amazing, she says yes to him.

A month later, they're coming up to opening night. Only two more days. Travis doesn't think he'd be able to make it through her first tech week without Taylor. She holds his hand every step of the way, every late night and every stressed moment. But they still haven't broken the news to anyone quite yet.

They made the decision together: they like each other too much to be labelled as a 'showmance' that's going to end the second the show closes. That fear is definitely lodged in the pit of Taylor's stomach. She's seen it happen too many times. But Travis reassures her, over and over again, that that isn't going to be them. And the day before they open, he tells her he wants to introduce her to his family. And he wants to meet hers. It's time to break the news.

She's sure that he's right. It's been a month of sneaking around, lying to everyone about where they are. It's been the hardest secret she's ever had to keep from Gavin, too. They tell each other everything. She tells Travis that Gavin is as important to her as her parents, so they'd best break the news to him as well.

Travis agrees with a nod, suggesting that Taylor tells him as soon as possible. He doesn't need to be there for this one. It'll go better being a private conversation between the two best friends.

The last period of the school day is a school-wide academic support period. Students can work on their homework or go get extra support from their teachers. On the day before opening, Gavin gets a pass from Ms. Paine to go to the dressing room and start early on the fake facial hair that he wears for the show. It's his first time doing it so that he could preserve the limited lifespan of the fake mustache, but he knows it could take some trial and error.

"Gav," Taylor says, grabbing his arm as he's walking out of the room to go down to the drama room, "can I come? I've gotta talk to you about something."

"I mean, I don't have an issue with it, but you've gotta ask Ms. Sisk," Gavin says. Taylor nods and walks over to her teacher.

"Is it okay if I go down with Gavin to help him out? I know I don't have a pass but..."

Ms. Sisk looks Taylor up and down. Taylor's a good kid- stellar grades and an impeccable behavior record. Normally, she wouldn't let students go places without a pass, but Taylor and Gavin are both seniors and they've got a big week. It'll probably be good for them, for their mental health, to get to spend some quality time together. So, she nods. "Go ahead, Taylor. Just this once, alright?"

A smile spreads across the blonde's face. "Thank you." She scurries over to Gavin and shares the good news, then the pair walks down to the arts wing. Gavin pulls the door to the dressing room open and turn son the lights, sitting down in front of a mirror. "Gav," she says as he's digging around in his backpack, "I've got something to talk to you about."

"What's that?" He asks, pausing to look up at Taylor.

She takes a deep breath, suddenly feeling a wave of anxiety rushing over her. She doesn't know why she's so scared to admit this. "There's something that's going to happen tomorrow night... and I want you to know about it before it happens..."
