When Taylor and Travis first started dating, there was a whole new world of people who Taylor quickly found she was going to have to connect with. All of the important people in Travis's life, his inner circle. They're people who mean the world to him- many of whom have been by his side since his days in Cleveland.

She wasn't worried about winning over any of the guys. Before he'd brought her around for the first time, he'd held her hand and promised her that they'd love her- if for no other reason, then because she made him so damn happy. She'd be lying, though, if she said she wasn't a little worried about the women in Travis's inner circle. The wives and girlfriends of his own friends. She just wasn't sure what they'd think of her. She'd be remiss to not be aware of her reputation, of the rumors that have been spread about her. Taylor wouldn't have blamed them if they were hesitant, or if they'd have taken falsities as facts and had their minds made up about her long before ever meeting her. Before she ever even came into Travis's life, really.

Over and over again, Travis had promised her that they weren't like that. He'd told her all about each of them and how much they were going to love her. Travis had also promised her that, if she wins over Brittany Mahomes, she'd be in with all of the WAGs at Arrowhead. She remembers it clear as day, the way that Travis had winked as he'd said, "And don't worry. Britt was the one who dragged me to the Eras Tour in the first place."

In the months that ensued, those early days of dating Trav, Taylor and Brittany quickly grew closer than she'd ever imagined. She wasn't sure just how much they'd have in common, but as time as passed, they have found lots of things to bond over: their guys, fashion, a shared music taste, and of course, Britt's sweet little ones. While all three of them are cuties, Taylor almost instantly formed a particularly strong relationship with Sterling. The little girl has blonde curls and piercing blue eyes. She loves to bake and sing 'Elsa,' as she says, and she believes in fairies and unicorns. She's a sensitive little kid with lots of big feelings and a vehement desire for things to always be fair. She reminds Taylor a whole lot of herself at that age.

Now, several years after first meeting the family, Taylor goes around to the Mahomes' house more weeks than not, just to play with Sterling. It's entirely out of the goodness of her own heart. She'll bake cookies with the oldest Mahomes girl or teach her little things about the piano. They'll sit out on the patio and read stories or play board games. She just loves the little girl so much and the adoration is completely mutual.

One early September afternoon, Taylor's in the suite at Arrowhead for a game when she gets a text from Brittany that makes a grin creep onto her face. More time with her favorite little cutie is always a good thing.

Britt: Hey T. I'm really sorry, you know I hate asking this of you but poor little Sterling has been having a rough day. I've been trying to keep her happy but I'm dealing with two more littles and... I'm just at my wits' end. I think it would really help her if she could just come and sit with her favorite person for a little bit. Is there any way that I could bring her by?

Taylor instantly types up a response to Brittany. Only a few minutes later, the door to the suite opens up and Brittany walks in, holding her little girl. The sweet baby... her eyes are wet and her face is red. She's got noise cancelling headphones on and is wriggling around in her mom's arms. Brittany lifts up one side of the headphones and speaks in her daughter's ear. "Hey, hey, how about you go see Taylor?" Brittany suggests, bending down and letting Sterling run free. Taylor stands up to go over but before she gets very far, Sterling has bolted in her direction. So, instead, Taylor bends down and opens her arms for the little girl.

"Hi there, sweetie," Taylor says, holding the little one's head to her chest and stroking her blonde curls. "Britt, I've got it," Taylor calls. "You're welcome to stay or go back."
