Y/n POV
Once all the food was brought back, we light some candles and we were able to settle down. Everyone was talking and eating. It was great to be surrounded by all these people and feel at home.
"I took around this room...and i see survivors. Each and every one of you has earned that title. To the survivors" Abraham toasts as he puts his glass in the air. Everyone cheered and took a sip. "Is that all you want to be? Wake up in the morning, fight the undead pricks, forage for food, go to sleep with two eyes open, rinse and repeat?" He asked. I felt Glenn wrap his arm around my waist and pull me closer into him. I was holding Evie as she was sleeping in my arms and i rested my head on Glenn's shoulder.
"Cause you can do that. I mean, you got the strength. You got the skill. Thing is, for you people, for what you can do, that's just surrender. Now, we get Eugene to Washington and he will make the dead die and the living will have this world again. And that is not a bad takeaway for a little road trip. Eugene, what's in DC?" Abraham asked Eugene. Eugene sighed before he answered.
"Infrastructure constructed to withstand pandemics even of this fubar magnitude. That means food, fuel, refuge. Restart. " Eugene said, I nodded my head along as he spoke.
"However this plays out, however long it takes for the reset button to kick in, you can be safe there. Safer than you've been since this whole thing started. Come with us. Save the world for that little one, Glenn's little one. Save it for yourselves. Save it for the people out there...who don't got nothing to do expect survive." Abraham said, his words seemed to move Rick because he let out a small laugh and Judith let out a noise.
"What was that? I think she knows what I'm about to say. She's in. If she's in, I'm in. We're in" Rick said, everyone cheered and laughed. I smiled as I looked up at Glenn and he kissed my forehead.
"I hope her first words are mommy" I said with a smile as I looked down at Evie.
"Wow" Glenn said as he pushed me away and then pulled me back in. Which caused Evie to wake up.
"Shh" I mumbled as I moved her back and forth. "Great going daddy" I mumbled as I picked up Evie and walked back in forth in front of Glenn to get her to go back to sleep
"I like when you call me that" Glenn said as he put his hands behind his head.
"Your gross" I groaned as I Evie fell back to sleep and I sat back down. "Your mustache is getting to your head" I said as I glared at him.
He was growing a little mustache that made him look really good. If we didn't have a baby I'd definitely going wild. But I don't think it would be appropriate to do it in a church.
Later on, I sat on the floor as I put Evie in one of the beds in the back hopefully she would sleep. I leaned on Glenn's shoulder as I listen to Rick talk.
"She was crazy" Rick said as he shook his head. He was telling us about one time he arrested a girl for peeing in public.
"That's actually disgusting" Glenn said as he shook his head.
"Guys, you can't tell Daryl, I told you this. But for the longest time he peed the bed" I mumbled out as I covered my mouth as soon as I said it.
They all looked at me and started to laugh. Maggie sat up and looked at me. She was just as shock as the other one. I couldn't help but laugh even harder.
"No way" Maggie said as she looked at me with pure shock. I smiled and nodded my head.
Later on that night Sasha ran in saying Bob was missing. I stayed back while Sasha, Tyreece and Rick went to go look for him. Speaking of missing I hadn't seen Carol or Daryl but I knew they were out on a quick run.
I was sure they were safe and I didn't want to stress about them. I think maybe Bob got a little lost and went too far away. I hope he was alright and I knew he would. He is a strong person.
I sat up straighter when I saw the door open and Sasha came walking in. And with no Bob behind her it seemed like he was not found yet. It made me a little more nervous. Rick and Tyreece soon followed after her.
"Stop" Sasha said as she looked at Gabriel. "What are you doing?" Sasha asked. "What are you doing? This is all connected. You show up, we're being watched, and now three of us are gone." Sasha snapped as she looked at Gabriel.
To be honest I don't think Gabriel had anything to do with it. He didn't seem like the type and I don't think he would kill anyone.
"I...I don't...I don't have anything to do with this." Gabriel said as he backed up a little. Sasha pulled out a knife. "Wait!"
"Don't!" Rosita yelled. I stepped closer ready to disarm Sasha if I had too.
"Sasha, put it away" Tyreece instructed his sister. But of course she didn't listen.
"Who's out there?" Sasha asked as she walked closer to Gabriel. Gabriel backed up and held out his hands.
"I...I don't have anything...to do with this" Gabriel stuttered out.
"Where are our people?" Sasha now practically yelled at him.
"I don't have anything to do-" Gabriel tried to say before Sasha interrupted.
"Where are our people?!" Sasha now was yelling. I heard Evie started to cry and I watched as Glenn went back to go check on her.
"Please, I don't have anything to do with this." Gabriel said, I slowly pulled Sasha behind me. I didn't want her to do anything she would regret.
"Why'd you bring us here?" I asked him as I kept calm trying not to escalate the situation.
"Please, I-" Gabriel tried to ask before Rick interrupted him.
"You working with someone?" Rick asked as he stood beside me.
"I'm alone. I'm alone. I was always alone." Gabriel said as he stepped back as far as he could.
"What about the woman in the food bank, Gabriel? What did you do to her? 'You'll burn for this'. That was for you. Why? What are you gonna burn for, Gabriel?" Rick asked as he grabbed Gabriel's collar. This was all new information to me. "What? What did you do? What did you do?!" Rick screamed. Gabriel was able to push Rick off of him.
"I lock the doors at night" Gabriel said. He was now in tears and his lip started to tremble. "I always lock the doors at night. I always lock the doors at night. I always-" Now he was fully on crying. I saw Glenn walk out and nodd his head at me. "They started coming, my congregation. Atlanta was bombed the night before and they were scared. They were...they were looking for a safe place, a place where they felt safe. And it was so early. It was so early. And the doors were still locked. You see...it was my choice. There were so many of them and they were trying to pry the shutters and banging on the sidings screaming at me. And so the dead came for them. Women...children...entire families calling my name as they were torn apart, begging me for mercy. Begging me for mercy. Dating me to hell.i buried their bones. I buried it all. The lord sent you here to finally punish me." Gabriel sobbed as he got down on his knees. "I'm damned. I was dammed before. I always lick the doors. I always lock the doors." Gabriel said as he fell to the ground sobbing.
"There's something" Glenn said as he looked over at the window. We all turned around to see what it was. "There's someone outside lying in the grass." Glenn said.
"Sasha" Rick said, but it was too late and she was already gone.
