Y/n POV
When we made it back we collected a lot of food and water. Aaron was still tied up. He seemed to be relieved and happy we were back. Mostly because he was probably afraid of Rick.
"This, this is ours now" Rick said as he held up the food and showed it to Aaron.
"There's more than enough" Aaron nodded as he probably expected defeat by now.
"It's out wheaten or not we go to your camp." Rick said as he turned around to face us.
"What do you mean? Why wouldn't we go?" Carl said as he looked at his father in disbelief.
"If he were lying or if he wanted to hurt us...but he isint and he doesn't. We need this. So we're going, all of us. Somebody say something if they feel differently." Michonne said as she turned around and looked at all of us. I agreed with her. We needed to do this.
"I don't know, man. This barn smells like horse shit." Daryl said, I kicked him in the back lightly. Now was not the time for games.
"Yeah. We're going." Rick said as he looked at us before turning back at Aaron. "So where are we going? Where's your camp?"
"Well, everytime I've done this, I've been behind the wheel driving recruits back. I believe you're good people. I bet my life on it. I'm just not ready to bet my friend's lives just yet." Aaron stammered on and I rolled my eyes and walked over to him.
"You're not driving. So, if you want to get home, you'll have to tell us how." I said as I stood infront of him.
"Go north on Route 16." Aaron said as he looked over to Rick to make sure he was getting it down.
"And then?" I asked him.
"I'll tell you when we get there." Aaron said, I was ready to flip my shit. I didn't have time to play these games with him. I didn't like not having a secure place to stay.
"We'll take 23 north. You'll give us directions from there." Rick said as he looked down at the map.
"That's... I don't know how else to say it...that's a bad idea. We've cleared 16. It'll be faster." Aaron said as she looked down at Rick.
"We'll take 23. We leave at sundown." Rick said as he folded up the map he had on the ground.
"We're doing this at night?" Sasha asked as she was sitting in the far corner.
"Look, I know it's dangerous. But it's better than riding up to the gates during the day. If it isn't safe, we need to get gone before they know we're there." Rick said as he turned around to look at the group.
"No one is gonna hurt you" Aaron called from behind Rick. "You're trying to protect your group, but you're putting them in danger."
"Tell me where the camp is, we'll leave right now." Rick said as he turned back to look at Aaron. Aaron shook his head and Rick turned back to us. "It's going to be a long night. Eat. Get some rest if you can." Rick said as he left the barn and Michonne followed after him.
And that is what we did. Glenn and I were in a corner and we had a food on a wood box that was high enough for us. I held Evie and feeding her a bottle.
"Gimmie a bite" I said as I held open my mouth and Glenn spoon fed me some cut up carrots out of a can. He missed my mouth and a tiny bit got on to Evies head. "You jerk! You just spilled carrots on our precious child" I said as I wiped the carrots off and giggled.
"She needs some vegetables" Glenn said as he let out a small laugh as well.
"Are you calling our baby fat?" I asked him as i jokingly moved away from him.
"I mean she is a little chubby" Glenn said as he pinched out daughters cheeks. "She is way bigger than Judith." Glenn said as he turned around and looked at the tiny Judith that was in Carls arms sleeping.
"You know what? I'm taking our baby and leaving" I scoffed as I turned away from him and contuined to feed our baby.
"Oh really? Are you going to divorce me too?" He asked as he put his hands on his hips and looked at me sarcasticly.
"Oh wow. I might as well you know. So our daughter can have an amazing life without getting fat shamed by her own father" I said as Evie was done with her bottle. And I sat the bottle down and moved to burp her. "Why don't you do this part" I said with a smile as I passed Evie over to Glenn.
"Oh! Great. Is this all that im good for?" Glenn said as he gave me a small smile. I giggled as I kissed his cheek.
"Of course." I looked at him as he held our baby and I felt my heart leap. Ever since the beginning this is all that I wanted and I finally had gotten it. My dream. I rested my head on his other shoulder.
"You think, if this place is good enough we can have another one?" Glenn asked as he looked down at me. I never thought about having another child. But the idea wasn't so bad.
"I mean, there's a possibility. I feel like we should be able to start a life in that new place. We both deserve it." I said as I looked down at our sleeping baby. I think we could. I would want to. If this place was good enough and safe enough.
It was already dangerous enough to bring in Evie. But we thought it would be safe. It should have been safe. But if we really were safe then yes I would 100% do that. I smiled as I looked at my tiny family I had. Things were worth it.
