Y/n POV

We were walking to Gabriel's church. Carol stood by me as we walked and I looked at Evie with a smile. She was peacefully sleeping. I couldn't wait until we could have walls and finally be safe.

"Hey, earlier, were you watching us?" Rick asked Gabriel as Gabriel lead the way as we trailed behind him.

"I keep to myself. Nowadays, people are just as dangerous as the dead, don't you think?" Gabriel asked as he kept walking.

"No, people are worse." Rick said and I nodded my head along with him.

"Well, I wasn't watching you. I haven't been beyond the stream near my church more than a few times since it all started. That was the furthest I've gone before today. Or maybe I'm lying. Maybe I'm lying about everything and there's no church ahead at all. Maybe I'm leading you into a trap so I can steal all your squirrels." Gabriel said with a breathy laugh.

"What the fuck?" I muttered under my breath as Rick shared the same look I had.

Gabriel turned around and looked at us. I don't know if that was his way of a joke but it didn't come across as one.

"Members of my flock had often told me that my sense of humor leaves much to be desired." Gabriel said as he walked backwards.

"Yeah, it does" Daryl said, Gabriel gave him a small looked and turned back around and ran into a tree branch and tried to play it off.

I grabbed on to Michonnes and Rosita's hands as I tried not to burst out into laughter. I crossed my legs over eachother so I wouldn't pee my pants. I felt Michonne and Rosita leaning on me as well to fight off the laughter.

"Keep on walking" JJ said as he walked past me and ran into the same branch. I couldn't help but fall in the ground laughing.

"I'm going to pee my pants" I said between fits of laughter. I slowly got up and wiped the tears that were falling down my face. "You're actually stupid" I said as I walked by him.

"You're an asshole" I heard him call after me. I rolled my eyes as I kept on walking.

Soon we made it to a nice sized nice church. It was big and white with big doors on the front. It was cute and small church. I could see my grandmother going here every Sunday.

"Hold up. Can we take a look around first? We just want to hold on to our squirrels." Rick said as he walked up to Gabriel. Gabriel nodded and gave Rick the keys.

Rick opened up the church and he had his gun in his hands as the rest of us trailed behind him on high alert. We didn't know this man and he could be the nicest person ever you just can't judge a book by their cover anymore.

It was a lot bigger when we walked inside. It had rows of seats, clean walls, and a stage. Where there were two doors in the back. When I filled Glenn and Michonne we opened a door and it looked like the kids room with bathrooms in the back.

I stoped and looked around. It was weird to see this. It seemed like everything was frozen in time and Gabriel didn't even touch anything. There were kids drawling, table and chairs with pictures hanging on the wall.

I looked over at Michonne and I felt something had happen here. All the kids drawling were colored in and trees were on fire. It gave you an odd feeling in a sort of way. I heard Rick whistle and that was our cure to go back outside with the others.

"I spent months here without stepping out the front door, if you found someone inside, well, it would have been surprising." Gabriel said as he looked around at all of us.

"Thanks for this" Carl said as he held Judith in his arms. I smiled at him.

"We found a short bus out back. It doesn't run, but I bet we could fix that in less than a day or two. Father here says he doesn't want it. Looks like we found ourselves some transport. You understand what's at stake here, right?"
Abraham asked as he was talking to Rick.

"Yes, I do." Rick said as he kept his focus on Judith and patted her head.

"Now that we can take a breath-" Michonne tried to say before Abraham interrupted her. I stayed close for her. There was nothing I hated more then when a man didn't know when it was time to start talking.

"We take a break, we slow down, shut inevitably goes down." Abraham said not even letting Michonne get a word out.

"We need supplies no matter what we do next." I said as I felt this conversation taking a turn.

"That's right. Water, food, ammunition" Rick listed off, as he walked into the church.

"Short bus ain't going nowhere" Daryl said from the top of the steps. "Bring you back some baked beans." Daryl said as he walked into the church.

"One way or another, we're doing what Rick says" Glenn said as he stood beside me and looked at Abraham. "We're not splitting up again." Glenn said as he grabbed my hand and pulled me up the steps.

"What he said" I said with a smile as I walked up the stairs. When we got in we all started to get comfy and relax a little. Carol handed over Evie back and I sat in the back doing my best to change her diaper.

Being a mom for the first time without no guidance was extremely difficult. Carol had showed me a couple of turns and I just now was getting the hang out it. But Evie wouldn't stay from to save her life. She kept squirming and highly Everytime I touched her.
