Y/n POV

"I know why you have the haircut." I said as I walked up to Eugene and saw him reading on the back of the truck.

"I told you, it's cause I like it" Eugene said as he still didn't look up from me. He kept his eyes trained on the book he was reading.

"I believe that. I like it, too. I think you like it for a reason. You're not the person people think you are. You want em to know who you are." I said as I leaned on to the truck.

"Not following you" Eugene said as he placed the book down to look over at me.

"If you didn't have that mullet, you'd probably be like everybody else in the labs. But you're not like everybody else. I think a lot of people in your position probably woulda given up, but you didn't." I said with a smile.

"There were people...a lot of them along the way...they made sure I didn't give up. It wasn't me remotely." Eugene said, I didn't think he was getting my point.

"It was. You started this thing. And you're not like Samson. He was kind of a mess." I said as I moved over to take a seat next to him.

"Not following you" Eugene said again, I let out a happy sigh as I started up again.

"Well, his story goes...that one day when a lion attacked him, God gave him strength and he store it apart. Then he goes back one day he's by himself, and he sees that bees have made a hive in the carcass. So later he tells this riddle to the people. 'Out of the water, something to eat. Our do the strong, something sweet." And I always thought, 'How the hell are people supposed to know the answer when it's just about his own life? When the only place the answer is it in his own head?'" I said, to him. He was deep in thought about what I just had said before Glenn decided to speak with his big mouth. (Sorry guys im beefing with Glenn bc y/n and Eugene are literally trying to have one on one time and Glenn won't shut the fuck up)

"Whoa, what the hell is that?" Glenn called out, I groaned and I leaned over to the side to see what was up.

"What?" I called after him as he was standing by the truck door with his gun in his hands.

"Winds picking up. You're about to smell it." Glenn said with a grimace on his face.

I took a sniff and I smelled on awful stench that hurt my nose. I coughed and covered my nose. My face was full of disgust.

"What is that?" I coughed out.

"Whatever's making that stench, it ain't nothing nice. We're not stopping." Abraham said as he climbed out of the truck.

"Uh, we're stopped" Tara said as she pointed out the obvious.

We all walked over to go see where the smell was coming from. The more we walked on the smell was way stronger and it was a terrible stench. When we made it to the end of the road, the group let out their coughs. There were walkers, covering a whole entire farm for miles out.

"Let's go" Glenn huffed out as he pulled my arm to follow along with him.

"Abraham!" Rosita called after him, we were all moving along. "Abraham, lest get out of here." Rosita said as she put her hands on her hips.
