Y/n POV

"I lied. I'm not a scientist. I don't know how to stop it. I'm not a scientist." Eugene said. The words hit me like a wave. It was hard to breathe. No one said anything at all. We all kept our mouths shut.

"You are a scientist. I've seen the things that you can do." Rosita said in disbelief.

"I just know things." Eugene said, I scoffed at his answer. He was playing us the entire time.

"You just... 'know things'?" Glenn asked trying to piece together everything.

"I know im smarter than most people, I know im a very good liar and I know I needed to get to DC." Eugene said, his lip trembled as he spoke.

"Why?" I asked him, I didn't want to blow up on him just yet.

"Because I do believe that locale holds the strongest possibility for survival, and I wanted to survive. If I could cheat some people into taking me there well, I just reason that I'd be doing them a solid, too, considering the perilous state of the city of Houston, the state of everything." Eugene said, and with his words Abraham crouched down on the ground.

"People died trying to get you here." Rosita chocked out. I rubbed her shoulder comforting her.

"I'm aware of that. Stephanie, Warren, Pam, Rex, Roger, Josiah, Dirk and Josephine" Eugene listed off a shut tone of people he basically killed. "And Bob. You see, I just my nerves as we grew closer, for I am a coward...and the reality of getting to our destination and disclosing the truth of the matter became some truly frightening shit. I took it upon myself to slow our roll. Find time to finesse things so then when we got there...but at this moment, I fully realize there are no longer any agreeable options. I was screwed either way. I also liked about T.Brooks Ellis liking my hair. I do not know T.Brooks Ellis. But i did read one of his books, and he seemed like type of guy that woudlnt blink twice at a Tennessee top hat. Again...I am smarter than you. Now, you may want to leave me here-" Eugene ranted on before Glenn stepped up and got into his face.

"Do you realize we left all of our people back there going on a wild goose chase with you? I have a fucking daughter back there. I got into an argument with my wife because of you. Because I thought that this was going to be good for my family. I but my family life's in danger and my friends for your bullshit!" Glenn started to yell at Eugene. Eugene stepped back and helped up his hands. (Your giving white women scared 😝)

I stood up between Glenn and Eugene. I pulled Glenn back so he could calm down and not do anything he would regret. I turned around and I saw Abraham stand up and punch Eugene in the face twice. I watched as Glenn pulled Abraham back and Eugene fall face first on the ground.

"My god" I groaned as I kneeled down over to move Eugene to the side. I saw Rosita stand in front of Eugene and I. I watched as Abraham walk away.

We moved Eugene to say on his back and blood was running down his nose and his mouth. I shook my head at the scene.

"Oh, god. Eugene, are you there?" I heard Rosita ask. I knew he was passed out and I checked his pulse and he was still alive.

...

I did my best to try and cool off Glenn. Which ended up him with punching the fire truck and I had to go and wrap up his arm. Which led him sitting on the floor of the fire truck and I stayed in between his legs wrapping them up.

"I just feel like a shitty father for leaving her back there" Glenn groaned as I wrapped his arm up. I looked up at him and sighed.

"You're not a shitty father. You didn't know any of what was going to happen. You did what was best in the moment and im not mad at you for that" I said as I patted his thigh.

"You're just saying that" Glenn groaned as he put his head down.

"I never lie" I said as I looked up at him. It was true, and I wouldn't lie to spare someone else's feeling like this, not even over a serious topic.

"Fuck" Glenn said as he moved hair out of my face. I gave him a small smile. Now we had an excuse to go home to our daughter.

"Come on" I said as I grabbed his hand and pulled him off the truck so we could talk to the others on how we were getting back home.

"They got no clue we're here" Glenn said after he went to go check on the walkers. I was standing by Tara as Rosita wouldn't leave Eugene's side.

Abraham was stuck in some shirt of shock and wouldn't get up. It was weird and kinda unsettling to think about. We left him there kneeling by the side of the road just watching out into the distance.

"That's Great news for Great(the first letter of your name)" Tara said as she stood by water bottles. I gave her a confused look. "We just scraped the bottom of the water barrel." She said as she sighed.

"What is...what's GREAT(F/L)?" I asked her with my hands on my hips.

"Us. Group name. Solidarity. Band of brothers. GREAT(F/L). Thinking about getting a tattoo on my knuckles. Sorry, I'm just trying to think of something else, you know?" Tara said sheepishly.

"Yeah, it's cool" I said with a smile as I picked up the bottle with the my letter on it.

"Anything?" Tara asked as we watched as Rosita walked over to us.

"No." Rosita said with a small sigh.

"Should we get him to the church?" Glenn asked us, I sighed.

"Moving him could make him worse." I said as I scratched my arm and looked behind me.

"What will make him better?" Rosita asked me.

"Waking up" I said, there was nothing we could do to help him. He had to wake up on his own. "If he doesn't..." I trailed off trying not to think about it.

I watched closely as Abraham slapped the bottle out of Rosita's hands and get up. She stepped back in fear of getting hurt. I sighed and got out my gun. I cocked it and pointed it out his head.

"Sit down or I'll put you down." I said to him, he looked at me before sitting back down. I was really starting to get pissed off at this man.

"Well, what's next on the agenda?" Tara asked as she looked around at us.
