(I'm changing the writing style sorry)
"You're Y/n right?" I heard someone call from behind me. I turn around and I saw a girl around my height and my age. She had blonde hair, piercing blue eyes and freckles scattering her face.
"Yes" I said as I turned around. I was outside by one of the gardens. The new duty of a police officer had gotten to my head. I already had handcuffed Eugene twice.
"I saw you around and you lived on the outside. I never have been on the outside before. Is it scary?" The girl said as she looked at me. She looked like she did want my opinion. Like she didn't get out much. Like obviously she hadn't.
"I mean yeah. We moved around place to place. Didn't really have much shelter like this" I said as I squinted at her, the sun was beating down and it was hard to get a good look at her facial expressions.
"Is that how you lost your arm?" She asked as she looked down at it like she wanted to touch it. I pulled away and crossed my arms over my chest.
"Okay hold up. I don't even know your name and you're trying to touch me. What's your point?" I asked her as I looked over at her. She still had the same smile on her face as she looked at me.
"My names Aubrey. I've lived here basically my whole life. And Aiden, who I'm supposed to get married doesn't let me out of the gate." Aubrey said as she looked at me. I didn't blame him. She'd probably get killed by the first walker she saw.
"So you're getting at what exactly?" I asked her as I brushed my shirt off and put my hands on my hips.
"I want to go outside. Like a run. I think that's what your husband called it." Aubrey said as she looked at me. The mentioned of Glenn sparked my interest.
"Okay so ask Glenn" I said as I looked at her. He specialty was runs. It's like I've never done them. But I'm basically a police officer.
"No. I want to go with you. You're cool and you have experience" Aubrey said as she started to follow me as I started to walk back to our house. I rolled my eyes.
"So does anyone else in my group" I said as I turned around and walked backwards. She sighed and ran up to catch up to me.
"Please Y/n. I want it to be you. You're a girl and you understand what it means for other people to look down on you" Aubrey said, I stopped walking and looked at her. I was like her at one point and I wish I had someone there for me when it happened.
"Fine, but you have to talk to Deanna, okay? I know the last run didn't go so well" I said as I looked at her. She nodded her head and smiled and skipped off. I stood there almost stunned before I walked back to our house.
I stood infront of the mirror of our house. I think I looked stupid in this police uniform but it was not going to stop me. It was like we were playing pretend and I found it fun. For now. But I knew after a while we would have to get back into the real world.
"I don't know if this is some kind of play, handing authority to strangers" Rick said as he leaned against the door and looked at me.
"The authority to break up fistfights." I asked with him a small smile. I assumed that was all we were going to be doing or be stuck doing in fact. What could we even police around here?
"If it was just that, she should have given one of these to Daryl." Rick said as he let out a tiny laugh. I could feel how Daryl didn't like that we were getting to comfortable here.
"I don't know if it's for us or for them. Or maybe Deanna's trying to get rid of us and them. You put these jackets on me and you, have the people see it. If that's the play, that's be smart. And she seems smart." I said, you could tell that she was diligent and she knew what she was doing exactly.
"Smart for them or smart for now?" Rick asked as he tapped his hand on the doorframe.
"This is now." I told him. He nodded his head. We were safe now but we couldn't get to comfortable. We were made to be out there and people here never knew that. "I met this girl, she talked about wanting to go on a run" I said as I looked down. I knew I needed to talk about this.
"Yeah? With Glenn? I know the last one didn't go well" Rick said as he knew we both had to break up a fight that was going to break up.
"No with me. These people need help Rick. They don't know the capacity of what is behind those doors" I said as I looked up at him. If anything they were completely clueless.
"Are you gonna do it?" Rick asked, I had no idea. If Deanna said yes then most likely. But then what if something went wrong. I had a life and kids here.
"Yeah. I have too." I said as I nodded my head. There was no other choice. There was something inside of me that wanted to keep going and show these people that they can survive.
"You want back up? I'm sure someone can go with you" Rick said as he looked at me. I didn't know. I knew I could handle myself and if anything it would only take a couple of hours.
"No. I can handle myself. Plus, it's what this place needs" I said as I looked at myself in the mirror.
Y'all are gonna hate me, but trust me it's gonna be perfect well idk. In the next couple of chapters are gonna be lots and lots of warnings and it's gonna be a tough read. I was inspired based of a movie I watched which I would not say watch if you have a bad stomach. Anyways I will be going off the story line but I will come back to it eventually. But anyway...if yall are using c.ai get your asses on chat gpt all you gotta do is say "write me a story where..." and it's perfect. It's like if wattpad, c.ai, Tumblr, A03 literally had a baby. Like trust me that's what I have been hung on. Anyways I love and appreciate you all!
