Y/n POVI woke up to smoke and the sound of walkers growing. I let out a cough as I still heard the sound of the radio playing. I couldn't breathe and I felt something was wrong.
"Eugene!" I heard Abraham call out. I groaned as the sudden noise went straight to my head.
"Y/n...look at me" I heard Glenn say, I looked up at him as he held out his hand. I grabbed on to it and then I realized my metal arm was laying beside me.
"Eugene!" I heard Abraham yell again. I gasped and grabbed the arm quickly before turning around from Glenn. I didn't want him to see me like that at all.
"Eugene, are you okay?" I heard Rosita call out. I felt tears in my eyes as I realized the straps to my arm were broke.
I felt blood running down my face and a pain in my leg but that didn't matter. All I cared about was my arm. Everything else was a blur around me.
"Everyone else, you all right?" I heard Abraham asked. I couldn't help but the tears roll down my face as my metal arm was broken.
"Yeah" I heard Glenn breathe out.
"Yes" I heard Tara groan.
"The engines on fire. We gotta get out of here." Rosita said as she stood up. I was able to stand up but still upset because of my arm.
"All right, you and I go first, know 'em back, clear the way for Y/n and Rosita to get out, then we all start hitting them, okay?" Glenn said, I avoided eye contact as I did my best to try and out my arm back on.
"Yeah, all right. We'll do it live." Abraham said as he moved around the bus. "Tara?"
"Yeah?" Tara asked
You cover Eugene , come out when it's clear." Abraham told her. Tara nodded as Abraham went near the bus. "On my go!" Abraham said as he leaned on top of the door to push it open.
I put my arm on my other shoulder and hurried out the door with the rest of them. I had to hold back tears. I didn't want anyone to see me without an arm.
It wasn't hard to take down the walkers like I thought it was going to be. I pushed them off with my one hand and continued to move forward. My arm was the least of my worries.
When all of the walkers were all gone I turned around to do my best to get my arm back on. Half of it was broken and I knew I had to get JJs help when we got back.
"Y/n?" I heard Glenn ask and footsteps come towards me. I stayed where I was not turning around.
"Please go away" I mumbled out as I then used my teeth to loosen up the strap.
"Let me help you" I heard him say as he placed his hand on my shoulder. I quickly pulled away and ran behind the bus.
I was able to put the arm back on. It was crushed in the middle but it was fine. It was better than nothing. I wiped the tears off my face before I slowly walked out. I saw Glenn's face soften as he saw me walking back. I shook my head at him.
"Check Eugene, see if he's hurt" I heard Abraham say. I saw Glenn walk towards me. I shifted back from under him but he didn't mind, he kissed my forehead.
"Are you okay?" He asked me as he placed both hands on my shoulders. I nodded my head and he gave me a small smile.
"I'm fine. Just cuts and dings is all." Eugene tired to say before Abraham interrupted.
"Check him!" Abraham said completely discarding anything Eugene had said. Rosita quietly walked over to go look at him.
"Is that your blood?" Eugene asked as he saw Abraham's bloody knuckle.
"Yeah. Damn thing opened again. I swear, the cuts are finer than frogs hair. They're just big bleeders." Abraham said as he looked down at his hand.
"First aid kites in the bus" I mumbled out as I stood closer to Glenn. "I'll see what we have" and with that the bus caught on fire. "Never mind" I mumbled under my breath as I watched it go up in flames.
"We're not stopping. We're rolling on. We'll find another vehicle down the road. The mission hasn't changed." Abraham said as he grabbed his stuff and walked past the bus.
"Devils advocate, nothing more...we smashed to a stop hard. We spent a lot of time rolling things out do the road. The church is just 15 miles back that way." Eugene said as he pointed in the other direction.
"No. We don't stop. We don't go back. We're at war, and retreat means we lose. The road fights back, the plan gets jacked. You all know that. Now, we will get through this because we have to. Every direction is a question. We don't go back!" Abraham yelled, I flinched at the harshness of his words.
"Hey, hey. Are you okay?" Glenn asked as he stopped Abraham from going any further.
"I am fit as a damn fiddle." Abraham said as he seemed to be more heated.
"We are going with you. You are calling this thing. I just need to know you're good." Glenn said as he looked at Abraham.
"This is how things stop. I can't afford that right now. The world can't afford it. Listen, I took a pretty hard shot to the sack with that crash. I am stressed and depressed to see that ride die, but if you say we're rolling on, I'm good." Abraham rambled on.
"We're rolling on" Glenn said before he glanced at me. Abraham nodded his head.
"I'm gonna rub some dirt on it and walk it off." Abraham said as he nodded his head.
"Yeah" Glenn said as he let out a small laugh.
"We'll find what we need like we always have, on the way" Rosita said with a smile.
"I'm not rubbing dirt on anything" I said as Glenn looked at me. I saw him laugh.
"Maybe we can find some bikes. Bikes don't burn." Tara said as she let out a small sigh.
"All right" Abraham said with a nod in agreement
"Right" Glenn said as he pulled me along with him.
Ngl, Everytime I see Glenn I'm like kordell with the suitcase from love island 😝
