Between the veils of life and death, I hear a haunting melody.
With bated breath and racing heart, I step into eternity.
The Devil waits with outstretched hand, his eyes ablaze with wicked glee.
"Shall we dance?" he softly asks, his voice a velvet mockery.
I take his hand, so cold yet strong, and let him pull me to the floor.
The music swells, a dark refrain, as we glide through Hades' door.
One-two-three, we start to spin, our feet barely touching ground.
Caught between two worlds we twirl, In limbo, endlessly bound.
He leads me through the shadows deep, past souls who wail and spirits weep.
Yet in his arms, I feel no fear, as over the abyss we leap.
The living world grows dim and far, while death's domain looms ever near.
Yet in this dance of dire stakes, I find a thrill both sharp and clear.
We pirouette on razor's edge, where mortal coils begin to fray.
Each step a risk, each turn a choice, to linger here or slip away.
But as we whirl in frenzied pace, I realize with sudden start, this dance with death, this devil's waltz, has set aflame my beating heart.
For in this space twixt life and death, where few dare tread and fewer stay, I've never felt more truly alive than dancing at the break of day.
So let the music play on still, let heaven and hell look on and see, how in the devil's arms I've found the ultimate ecstasy.
For in this dance of light and dark, of passion, danger, and desire, I've touched the face of death itself,
and set my mortal soul on fire.
