Release Whats Lost

In shadows where laughter once danced in the light, I tread softly now, in a heart filled with night; the echoes of friendship, now distant and cold, a tale told in whispers, too painful to hold.
We wandered through dreams, hand in hand in the sun, but storms came crashing, our bond came undone.
With each word unspoken, each glance turned away, I crumble inside as the colors decay.
Love bloomed like wildflowers, vibrant and free, yet we drifted like leaves from a once sturdy tree.
What was meant to be sacred now feels out of reach, a lesson in silence, no words left to teach.
The memories linger, yet fade like old songs, the right notes remind me of what once felt so wrong.
I gather my heart, though it's heavy and torn, in letting you go, I embrace the reborn.
So here is goodbye, to the friend and the flame, to the laughter we shared, and the hurt intertwined; with a bittersweet smile, I release what was lost, in the silence, I find strength, no matter the cost.
