I've had my fill of those stinging rains.
Let your tongue abstain from acidic clouds, my spirit's been much too long trapped in shrouds woven by storms you summon, ceaseless and cruel, when all I crave is your warmth's gentle rule.
Just give me light, your radiant grace, allow your bright speech to undo night's chill embrace.
I'm withering here in valleys of dark refrain, where your bristling locutions have formed piercing cane lashing me raw, stripping joy from my lush humanscapes I yearn for your shining words to heal these ragged capes.
No more clouding my skies with obscuring haze, I beg you to send your sweet sunshine's rays.
To part with soft syllables this somber spread, banish the shadows your venom has fed, and allow fertile lands to reach for that golden warmth once more the nurturing cadences your voice was meant to pour.
I'm starving for your light, slowly being eclipsed, craving just one sunrise from the dawn of your lips.
A single syllable of soul-renewing bright, to ignite the deepest seeds of my cold delight, and resurrect the vibrant fields we used to tend together, when your words were gentle rains, and not cutting weather.
