In the velvet night, where dreams take flight, I spied a star, so brilliantly bright; it twinkled and danced in the moon's soft glow, a distant beacon, a lover's woe.
With every wish whispered on gentle winds, my heart leapt high, as if it could transcend; yet tethered to earth, I watched from afar, longing to hold that elusive star.
Its shimmer beckoned, a promise untold, of mysteries wrapped in silver and gold; but space held its secrets, an endless expanse, as I reached out, lost in the trance.
What magic resides in that heavenly sphere?
Does it know of my hopes, my laughter, my fear?
Would it spark a flame in the shadows of night, or remain just a dream, forever out of sight?
I gather my courage, I stretch out my hand, imagining journeys through galaxies planned; but the star just blinks, a playful reply, reminding me softly; some things soar high.
Yet in every heartbeat, in each breath I take, I'll cherish this longing, this beautiful ache; though never quite grasping what glimmers above, I'm falling for starlight, wrapped in its love.
