"Tzuyu, not that I don't love and appreciate all of this," You said but paused as you watched the waiter place a big dessert on the table. "This meal is so romantic and beautiful... but what's it for?"

You looked across the table at your girlfriend of four months.

She took you to one of the fanciest restaurants in the city and spoiled you with an expensive meal and expensive drinks.

And now a delicious-looking dessert was in front of and amazing as it looks, you're wondering what it's all for.

"Please don't think I'm ungrateful or I don't love it but I'm just wondering why you're going all out."

Tzuyu cleared her throat and sent you a smile before she took your hand into hers from across the table.

"I did it because I have something important to say."

"Okay..."

You watched her get up from her seat and reach into her purse before getting down on one knee in front of you.

Your eyes went so wide you thought they might pop out of your head but you just couldn't help it.

This is not at all what you expected and you were panicking as you watched her pull a ring out of her pocket.

"What are you doing? Get up." You whispered harshly as you looked around.

"What? I thought you'd like this. I thought you'd say yes."

"Say ye- Tzuyu, what is going on in your head right now? We've been dating for four months! I'm so not ready for that. If this was two years from now, maybe I'd say yes. But four months!? You're out of your mind."

"But I'm ready." She spoke as she clenched her jaw.

"I don't even know how to reply to that. That is insane, Tzuyu! It's way too fast."

"So you don't care about me. Is that it? I love you more than you love me, right?"

"I never even said that. Tzuyu, you are being ridiculous. I do love you. You know that. I love you very much. But there's a difference between loving you the way I do and wanting to spend the rest of my life with you."

She was being so irrational and way too rushed with this and you felt overwhelmed.

"If you loved me, you'd say yes."

You scoffed and shook your head.

"I'm leaving. Should I pay half of the bill?"

"You're leaving? Where will you even go? You won't find someone who loves you like I do."

"Love me? Tzuyu, it's been four months and you're asking me to spend my entire life with you. Yes, I love you very much but we are not ready for this. I'm still getting to know you and you're proving that tonight with how you're talking to me! I don't like it."

"I thought we were ready."

"Well, we're not. I have to wonder why you're so adamant about us getting married so soon. This has given me a lot to think about."

You tossed some money on the table and ignored the looks of strangers who were watching you and Tzuyu and gossiping amongst themselves.

"I don't know if I can handle this. Bye, Tzuyu,"

"Whatever. You're a big waste of time!" She shouted at you before sitting back down as you stormed out of the restaurant and called for an Uber.

Her trying to rush the relationship and guilt trip you into marrying her raised a ton of red flags for you and you weren't sure if things would ever be the same if you did try to put this all behind you.
