Theodore leaned back to turn the light off, so the only thing lit in his room was a desk lamp shining right into his face. He wasn't sure why he wanted to eat in what was pretty much darkness, but it was raining so it seemed to suit the soft noise from outside.

It had been rainy all day. He didn't mind because he loved the rain, and it was one of the days he went to school and came home without having to head to work.

The screen in front of him was pending as Theodore waited for Cassian's face to pop up while they texted each other about Cassian's forgotten password and username. He forgot both because they rarely video-called each other, unfortunately. It only took a few more minutes before the familiar face popped up on the screen and Theodore grinned when he heard Cassian's excited yell.

"Theo!"

"I'm here." Theodore chuckled, waving. "Wow, it's really long."

"Way too lazy to get it cut."

He already knew that because Cassian kept complaining about his hair getting into his eyes, but he still didn't want to take the five-minute drive, ten-minute walk, to the barber. Theodore found that funny because he wouldn't take that little walk, but he would spend ninety-plus minutes running around on a field during a soccer game.

"Looks good though. You could be Zorro for Halloween."

"That's months away. Also, super outdated."

They chuckled.

"Right. Gabe's not there?"

The room around Cassian was lit up and Theodore could see two beds on opposite sides of the room. The space around one was much more decorated than the other, making him assume that it was Gabriel's bed because Cassian didn't like clutter and usually kept his space very minimal and refined, as the area around the other bed did.

He smiled seeing the pictures Gabriel had mentioned on the nightstand beside the bed that had nothing hung on the walls around it, save for a few more pictures above the headboard.

"Yeah, he had an improv class somewhere in the city. I've got pizza. What did you order?" Cassian tilted the box to show what looked like a Margherita pizza.

"I made lasagne." Theodore smiled lifting his plate to show off what he was quite proud of, he had even decorated it a little in an attempt to make it look professional.

"Show off. I don't have a private kitchen."

"You can't cook," Theodore teased.

"That too." Cassian laughed.

"Your pizza looks good though."

"We both know you have the better food." Cassian sulked but then he grinned, "You look healthy."

"You expected something else?" Theodore furrowed his brows.

"No, just trying to say you look handsome without actually saying it because I say it too much... Well, think it too much."

Theodore chuckled, glancing down as he felt somewhat bashful being complimented despite Cassian doing it constantly. He heard Cassian laugh at his reaction.

"Your side of the room looks so bland."

It made Cassian turn around to look back like he rarely took note of what the room actually looked like and had to take it in for a moment.

"Too busy to decorate. I was going to put some wallpaper over there, maybe I'll do it right before break. Why is your room dark?"

"It's calming in the rain."
