Author's Pov–
The day was solemn, with a gentle breeze rustling the leaves as the sun dipped low in the sky. The atmosphere carried a weight, a sense of remembrance and quiet reflection. Today marked twelve years since Y/n’s passing, and the pain, though dulled with time, still lingered in the hearts of those who loved her.
Jimin stood with Rebecca by his side, holding their daughter, Y/n. The young girl had grown up hearing stories about her aunt, understanding the deep bond her father and uncles shared with their stepsister.
The little girl held a small bouquet of cheerful daisies, the same kind that had been Y/n's favorite.
Jin and Irene arrived hand in hand, their presence always bringing a sense of warmth and comfort. Namjoon followed with Ailee, his arm wrapped protectively around her. Yoongi stood close to his wife, Sungkyung, both of them lost in quiet conversation as they approached the memorial. Hoseok arrived last, still single but surrounded by his loved ones, his smile more subdued today.
Taehyung and Tzuyu, who had been dating for over three years now, walked together, their hands intertwined. Jungkook, still single, stood beside them, his gaze distant as he stared at the memorial. Mr. Song, now over fifty but still as fit as ever, stood with them, his eyes reflecting the pain of a father who had lost his daughter too soon.
As they gathered around the memorial, there was a shared silence, each person lost in their thoughts, remembering Y/n in their own way.
Jimin knelt down with his daughter, helping her place the flowers at the base of the stone. The girl looked up at the names etched into the marble, understanding the significance of the moment.
Y/n: “I miss her,”
Y/n said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. Jimin’s heart ached at her words, but he nodded, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.
Jimin: “We all do,”
He replied, his voice thick with emotion.
Jimin: “She was special, and she’ll always be a part of us.”
The group stood together, united by their memories of Y/n and the impact she had on their lives, even if it was fir the shortest of time.
Though she was gone, her presence was still felt, her memory cherished by those who had known her.
Jimin, holding his daughter’s hand, leaned down to touch the engraved name on the memorial. His voice, though steady, carried the weight of years of grief.
Jimin: “Y/n, I wish you could have met your niece. She’s got so much of you in her, more than you could ever know.”
Rebecca, standing beside him, added softly,
Rebecca: “We tell her about you often. She knows how special you were and how much you meant to us all.”
Jin placed a hand on Jimin’s shoulder, offering him a comforting squeeze.
Jin: “She would have been proud of how strong you’ve been.”
Namjoon, with Ailee by his side, spoke to the memorial with a quiet strength.
