Y/n's Pov-

Jaeyun's voice slithered through the line, dripping with malevolent amusement.

Jaeyun: "Hmm... I most definitely missed you, though whether you did or not,"

He said, his laughter dark and unsettling.

I stood frozen, my mind spinning with a whirlwind of fear and confusion. The sound of Jaeyun's taunting voice made it difficult to think clearly.

Jaeyun's tone took on a mocking edge as he continued,

Jaeyun: "They didn't called, did they?"

The question hung in the air, heavy with sinister implications. I struggled to muster a response, my voice shaky as fear gripped me.

Y/n:"W-who... what are you talking about?"

Jaeyun chuckled again, the sound sending a chill down my spine.

Jaeyun: "Your brothers have been gone for about four hours now. Since then-no call, no text, no nothing... right?"

His voice was dripping with a mocking tsk, each sound amplified in the quiet night.

My palms began to sweat, the fear intensifying as I clutched the phone tightly. The realization that Jaeyun knew so much made my heart race even faster. The dread of not knowing what he might do next was overwhelming, and I struggled to keep my composure.

My mind raced back to the chaotic scene at the warehouse. I recalled vividly seeing Lisa, Mingyu, Daniel, Sehun, Nurse Jeon, and even Mr. Kim being bundled into a car, their faces a mix of fear and confusion. But amidst the turmoil, there was one glaring absence-Jaeyun. He wasn't among those captured. It dawned on me with a chilling clarity that he had managed to escape. He was out there, still at large, and now, his voice on the phone was a haunting reminder that he had been eluding us all along.

The realization that Jaeyun was free and possibly orchestrating something sinister made my anxiety surge. His ability to remain hidden and manipulate the situation from afar added another layer of dread to an already overwhelming night. I gripped the phone tighter, the weight of his presence pressing heavily on my shoulders.

I tried to steady my voice as best I could, despite the growing dread gnawing at me.

Y/n: "What do you want?"

I asked, trying to sound calm and composed.

Jaeyun's response was a scoff, his tone dripping with disdain.

Jaeyun: "Same question... and same answer, sis. You and your pathetic so-called brothers made my life a living hell!"

The anger and frustration inside me bubbled up at his words. How dare he claim that his life was a living hell? What about the suffering inflicted on my mother, my father, and me? His attempt to belittle our pain was infuriating, but before I could voice my protest, he spoke again.

Jaeyun: "But my work is almost done, you see..."

Jaeyun's voice trailed off deliberately, leaving an unsettling silence in its wake.

Then, out of the quiet, a sound that froze me in place reached my ears. Hoseok's voice broke through the darkness, desperate and tinged with fear.

Hoseok: "Y/n...Y/N!"

His shouts were soon followed by the distant voices of the others, their calls growing louder and more frantic.

My heart skipped a beat, the realization hitting me like a jolt of electricity. The ground seemed to shake beneath my feet as the urgency in their voices made my pulse race. I turned back toward the room, panic surging through me as I struggled to make sense of the situation and the threat Jaeyun posed.
