The soft hum of Kara Danvers' apartment was filled with the scent of fresh coffee, the kind that made the early mornings slightly more bearable. Y/N Luthor, Kara's boyfriend of three years, stood by the kitchen counter, pouring two mugs of the dark brew. The sun had barely risen over National City, casting a gentle light through the windows. It was a quiet moment, one that he cherished before the world demanded their attention.

Kara, still in her pyjamas, walked over to him and wrapped her arms around his waist, resting her head on his back. "Morning," she mumbled, her voice warm and soft.

Y/N turned, smiling as he handed her a mug. "Morning, beautiful," he replied, leaning down to kiss her forehead.

They had shared many mornings like this, moments of peace before Kara transformed into Supergirl, the city's beacon of hope. But today, there was a weight in the air that neither of them could ignore. Ever since Lex Luthor had revealed Kara's secret identity to Lena, the tension had been palpable.

"Are you okay?" Y/N asked, his voice filled with concern as he watched Kara take a sip of her coffee.

Kara sighed, her blue eyes clouded with worry. "I'm just... I'm worried about Lena. I never wanted her to find out this way. I wanted to tell her myself, but now..."

Y/N set his mug down and took her hand, squeezing it gently. "We'll figure this out together, Kara. Lena cares about you—she just needs time to process everything."

Kara nodded, but her heart felt heavy. She knew how much Lena valued trust, and now, she feared that trust had been irreparably damaged. And then there was Y/N, Lena's younger brother, caught in the middle of it all. He had known Kara's secret almost from the beginning, and yet, he had kept it from his sister. Kara couldn't help but worry about what this would mean for their relationship.

The sound of Kara's phone ringing broke the silence. She glanced at the screen and saw Lena's name flashing. Her heart skipped a beat as she answered.

𝙺𝚊𝚛𝚊, 𝚌𝚊𝚗 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝙻𝚞𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚛𝙲𝚘𝚛𝚙? 𝙸 𝚗𝚎𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚘 𝚝𝚊𝚕𝚔 𝚝𝚘 𝚢𝚘𝚞, Lena's voice was calm, but there was an underlying tension that made Kara's stomach knot.

"I'll be right there," Kara replied, her voice steady despite the storm of emotions brewing inside her.

She ended the call and turned to Y/N, who was watching her with a concerned expression. "Lena wants to talk. I think... I think she knows about Supergirl."

Y/N's eyes widened slightly, but he quickly composed himself. He had been dreading this moment, knowing how much it would hurt Lena. But he also knew that Kara needed his support now more than ever.

"I'll come with you," he offered, but Kara shook her head.

"No, I think it's better if I go alone. I don't want to drag you into this any more than you already are," she said, her voice soft but firm.

Y/N hesitated, wanting to be there for both Kara and Lena, but he knew she was right. This was something Kara needed to face on her own. "Okay," he agreed, leaning in to kiss her gently. "But if you need me, I'm just a phone call away."

Kara smiled, though it didn't quite reach her eyes. "Thank you, Y/N. I love you."

"I love you too," he replied, watching as she transformed from Kara Danvers into Supergirl, her resolve as strong as ever.

Kara's heart pounded as she flew towards LuthorCorp, her thoughts racing. She replayed every conversation she had ever had with Lena, wondering if there had been any signs, any clues that her friend might have suspected. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't shake the guilt that gnawed at her.
