Chapter 60

also ignore like all the typos I type fast to get my ideas down and then don't reread it lol u get the point enough to deduce what it means.

"Why do you guys even own this place?" I ask as I hop out of the jeep we took and throw my duffel over my shoulder.

Onyx comes up beside and entwines out fingers, pulling me into his side as he lays a kiss to the crown on my head.

"It was my dads. He loved the mountains so we'd come up here a lot. After he died, my mom had no use for it." He shrugs as he leads me towards the front porch.

The cabin in front of me is far from a normal cabin. When I think of going to the mountains to relax, I think of a small little house with fishing rods and a fireplace.

Sure this place has both but it looks like it was built for at least eight inhabitants. The entire place is built of wood and stone with huge windows and a gigantic porch with adorondak chairs. The place is nestled in a large group of trees with a dirt road that winds through them. When we were driving up I was convinced we were just driving blindly through the woods, but now that I get a good look, there is a road.

Ok "road" means a dirt road that has seen better days and obviously hasn't been used recently.

As we enter the house I have to suck a breath in as to not let my jaw drop. The house is cozy with beautiful wood accents and furs covering almost every surface. There is a gigantic fire place on the far right side of the house, surroudnded by a huge couch and chairs. The kitchen across from the living area is just as big with a large marble island that could fit an entire football team. As I walk through the house I notice that the back is made fully of windows that give a beautiful view of the mountains in the distance.

I open the door, the cold air making me tug my sweatshirt down my arms.

The back porch is identical to the front, with chairs and tables, but this one has a swing on the far right side.

Outside there is a large stone fireplace with chairs all around it.

"I love it up here." Onyx says from the doorway, his large frame leaning against it.

"I can see why. It's so peaceful." I inhale deeply, the crisp air filling my lungs and invigorating me. I look back at Onyx who's watching me with a curious gaze.

"How many siblings do you have? This place is huge!"

He huffs a laugh out before walking towards me and wrapping his arms around my waist, looking in my eyes.

"I have three younger brothers."

My jaw drops open as I stare at him, completely lost for words. He must see the surprise because he laughs and unwinds himself from me, tugging my body back into the warmth of the house.

"You have brothers?!" I basically screech as we walk into the kitchen where the rest of the brothers are, now all holding a beer.

I turn towards the other men and throw a hand in the air, "Please tell me you guys aren't hiding any other siblings from me too."

Mav laughs as he sips his beer casting a knowing gaze to Dame who sits at the island with a mask on. Kai looks away from the group, but when he sees me staring at him he just smiles and shakes his head.

"Someone is hiding something..." I murmur squininting my eyes and taking a moment to look at each brother. My eyes finally settle on Dame who looks uncomfortable.

"No...Dame?" I ask, shocked. He's never mentioned anyone, and I can't help but feel a little hurt that he didn't share it with me. I have to remind myself that even if I'm ready to share things about myself, the others might not.
