*Finally a Mav moment <3

"Breathe, baby, breath for me. Cmon' sweet girl."

Dame's words do little to soothe me, the monster that I usually keeper trapped has risen in all her glory. In any sane world I wouldnt dare pull a gun on Maverick. I wouldn't say the shit I did to him. In all truth it isn't his fault. I chose to get involved with the brothers, and it's going to take a little more than torture to get to me.

I've started to care for them, and in a peculiar way, not betraying them in that basement felt like the right thing to do. I'm no snitch, but if I didn't care about the Valor brothers as much as I do I probably would have broken if not for my superb breaking out skills.

Also the fact that they were looking for me and actually came for me is enough to feel like my heart is melting. Do they really care for me?

That's what has me panicking right now. The last five days catching up to me as I finally let my body relax in Dame and Kai's arms.

A part of me knows that Mav and Onyx are on the ground, frozen in place at my actions, but I can't seem to care as I break in the rosemary scent that is Dame.

"You came for me." I whisper, my voice slightly muffled by his shirt.

"Always babygirl." Kai says, rubbing soft circles on my back making me lean even further into Dame.

Dame and Kai are like no men I have ever met. They may be so completely different, but they each call to sides of me that that make me feel whole. It wouldn't be the same with just Kai or just Dame. They feel like home.

I let out a pained sob as a few tears leave my eyes.

"Thank you." I whisper as the world around me fades to blackness and my body falls to the ground.

...

I wake up to an obscene amount of wamrth surrounding both sides of me. I feel completely encased. I've never felt so safe in my life and that speaks volumes to waking up and not knowing where you are or who you're with.

As I blink open my eyes I am delighted to see Kai's sleeping face. I can only assume the large body against my back is Dame. Both him and Kai have their arms tightly wound across my waist and their legs entangled in mine. It's a wonderful sight to behold waking up to these two men–not something I am used to, but something I could grow accustomed to having.

I take a moment to look at Kai; really look at him. When he's awake he looks so stern, constantly fighting an internal boattle with his emotions. I can tell when he's about to change and I can only imagine how difficult it must be to manage. Here, he looks so serene. His beautiful curls slightly draped against the pillow and across his forehead. His long lashes fanning his cheeks which only make his cheekbones look better. His jaw is relaxed, his lips slightly parted. Neither of the men are wearing shirts and I can't be upset about that. Kai's tattoos are beautiful and though I can't see much of the ones on his chest because of how closely we are pressed, I see how amazing they are.

He truly is a work of art.

A small noise from the corner of the room getting my attention as I raise up a little, disentangling the arms of the men around me until I can sit up.

"Maverick?" I ask, confused as to why he's sitting in a chair near the door looking like he's drunk. When he looks up at me, his eyes are completely bloodshot, and the bags under his eyes make me realize he hasn't slept.
