*sorry all I'm traveling and also I've been so stuck on how to connect the story to where I want it to go. Honestly, I love having chapters with strong emotions for the brothers so this one you really get an inside peak into Kai's mind. You might not like this chapter but I think it's the perfect step between where the story ended last to where it's going next!!

Also this chapter 100% was solely written for @Charcoal_08 because they were the only one to comment on "fav brother" so therfore they r my favorite person and why Kai gets a chapter.

"It's been a month. We need a plan." I growl at my brothers as I shove away from the table and begin pacing.

"Don't you think we know that?!" Mav yells, throwing his hands up in exasperation.

The past four weeks have been hell. We'e been constantly looking over our shoulder for the next attack, always planning our next getaway. Marco hasn't made one singular move; in fact, we haven't heard shit from him.

That only concerns me more. Marco isn't one to just give up, and considering we stormed one of his places and kidnapped his wife? Well, he is less likely to give up now than before.

"Keep your fucking voice down." Onyx hisses at Mav who just grunts in return while crossing his arms.

Lilah had a headache and went to lay down upstairs. It's very rare that we get a chance to talk, just the four of us, and now that we have that? We can't stop bickering like children.

We don't like involving Lilah in all the shit that is going on. She may be good at hiding it, but she's still healing from her time with Marco. She whimpers and cries in her sleep and jumps when you sneak up on her.

Last night she was helped Nyx and Dame in the kitchen, and Dame made the mistake of coming up beside her to grab a spatula. Lilah freaked out and on instinct, whipped around, knife in hand, and was inches away from slicing Dame's neck open.

No matter how many times she assures us she's fine, we know better.

"We need a plan." Dame grumbles from the other side of the kitchen counter, nursing his third cup of coffee of the day.

We've all been stressed as hell. When we first got to the cabin, it was easy to treat it like a small vacation, but now? Now we've become complacent. I think we all thought that Marco would make the first move, but since he hasn't, we've been at a standstill.

We have the opportunity to play offense now and none of us know what to do.

"We need to kill him." I say confidently.

"Yeah, let's just go guns abazling. That for sure won't get us killed." Mav deadpans as he looks at me the same way he would a petulant child.

"At least I'm trying." I say, stomping over to the table and slouching into an open chair. I snag my switchblade from my pocket and digging the sharp end into the table.

I can see form the side Onyx's worried brow as he takes in me destroying the wood, but he makes the smart decision to keep his mouth shut.

"I still think we should loop Lilah in." Dame says, taking a gulp of the no doubt cold liquid from his mug.

A chorus of 'no's sound from the rest of us which i guess I should be happy is one thing we agree on.

"Lilah knows him best!" Dame argues. I can't disagree with him there. Lilah knows all the horrid details about that man, and if there is someone who could give us an inside scoop, it would be her.
