2 years later
I slam the door open, my anger getting the best of me.
"Woah, someone's pissed." Onyx says poking his head out of Mav's office.
I scowl, walking right up to him until we are inches apart. It doesn't matter that he's a giant compared to me, no, I have enough attitude for three Onyx's right now.
"Was it you?" I growl, crossing my arms as i glare at him.
He cocks his head to the side. "What happened?"
I ignore Onyx, pushing him to the side as I walk towards Mav who's sitting at his desk, scribbling something down on a notepad. When he hears me coming, he looks up.
There's an initial smile on his face when we make eye contact, but it disappears as soon as he sees the extremely annoyed expression in my eyes.
He stands up from his desk, his chair squeaking as it drags against the floor.
"I swear, I didn't do whatever you're mad about." he says, throwing his hands up in an attempt to fane innocence.
I growl, whirling around to stare at Onyx once again.
"So neither of you know where your child is right now?" I hiss at both of them.
Onyx and Mav exchange a glance that looks a lot like 'what the fuck is this bitch talking about?'
I huff out a breath, letting my shoulder's sag.
"I got a call from Sam's mom saying someone stopped by for pickup from the playdate AN HOUR EARLY."
Mav opens his mouth to respond, when the telltale sound of the door opening and closing rings throughout the small office.
The sound is immediately followed by giggles and squeals, and damnit whoever just brought my child back is going to get an ass whooping.
I growl, storming out of the office to come face to face with Kai and Dame.
"Uh-oh, mama's mad." Dame whispers to the little boy who is perched on his hip.
"Hi mama." The little boy says, his cheeks darkening in color as Kai nuzzles into his neck with little kisses.
"Emee.... Did dads pick you up early?" I ask my son whose bright green eyes widen as he glances back to Dame and Kai. I want to roll my eyes at their antics. Ever since Emerald was born, I've found that instead of having one kid I had three.
Mav and Onyx act exactly the same–maybe a little more lovey dovey considering they now have a kid, but Dame and Kai have become children themselves.
At least around our son. Normally it's adorable to watch and it makes Emee smile so hard, but right now I'm mega mad.
"No." Emme says confidently, his brows furrowed as he tries to look a hell of a lot older than he is. "They didn't."
I reach my arms forward and pick Emerald up form Kai's side, placing him on my hip as I turn and walk towards the kitchen, the sound of my men bickering behind me.
Once we get into the kitchen, I place Emee down on his feet, his tiny converse squeaking as he settles. I bring my hands up to cup his cheeks, stroking my thumb across his face, my eyes softening.
"If you tell me the truth, we can go play with Saffy tonight?" I never thought if I had kids I would bribe them, but little does he know that we were already set to go visit Onyx's family tonight. What the kid doesn't know won't hurt him.
