from the day touya left, you weren't able to function properly. you were hardly sleeping, eating and going out of your house.

after a while, you had called in sick at work, and you were thinking of quitting.

everyday you were waking up with tears in your eyes, and instead of trying to make yourself feel better· you were going through the photo album you had.

twice and toga had tried to reach out to you, but you had avoided most of their calls. one night you had called the latter, because you couldn't sleep. or because you wanted to talk to someone.

other nights when you couldn't sleep, you were reading the texts you had exchanged with him. or you were staring at the second keys you had given him.

you wanted to get him out of your mind, but everything was leading back to him. even living in your house was hard for you. anywhere you looked you could see memories of the two of you.

not being able to stand the suffocating atmosphere in your apartment, you left. the cold spring air hit your face, the moment you stepped out of the building.

the sky was dark and you could see the tiniest stars decorating it. you decided to go on a walk, only for the purpose of being away from your apartment for a little while.

unfortunately for you, you ended up meeting some of your colleagues— who, obviously, wanted to talk to you.

"y/n, how are you? we haven't seen you at work in so long!"

"i'm taking some weeks off. i haven't been feeling way too good lately"

"boss hadn't been too happy ever since you kinda ditched" one of them said.

"i don't care. he can fire me if he wants. i'm thinking of quitting anyways"

"what? are you serious?"

"totally. especially now that i know my boss can't respect my choice for a break"

"yeah... he's pretty much angry"

"good. hope he fires me, then"

without wasting another breath, you left, walking in the opposite direction. you didn't know where to actually go, so you were mindlessly wandering around.

you sat on a bench by the park, watching as the little kids run around. your eyes caught a red feather landing on your feet, and you immediately raised your head.

"hey! long time no see" hawks said, smiling at you.

"yeah, it's... been a while"

"super quick question that i know the answer to"

"can i treat you to dinner?" he added, a soft chuckle leaving his lips.

"i'd like that"
