you ended up taking two weeks off work, since you wanted to be completely fine before going back.

you actually recovered on the first week, mostly thanks to dabi· who was keeping your phone away from you.

"well, won't you look at that? you're up and about already!" he said, leaning against the bathroom door.

you turned to look at him, as you finished styling your hair. you smiled as you made your way towards him.

"i think i should thank you for your help"

"i didn't do much, princess" he said with a shrug of his shoulders.

"it was enough for me. you took care of me, and i don't know how to repay you fot that"

"fuck repayments, y/n! i just want to kiss you"

"you could've just said so" you smiled, as you tip-toed to reach him.

his arms snaked around your waist, pressing your body against his. yours wrapped around his neck, your eyes staring into his.

he placed one hand on your cheek, caressing it, before capturing your lips with his. he couldn't deny that he missed this feeling. spending nearly three weeks unable to feel you like this, surely felt like an eternity to him.

his lips trailed further down your neck, kissing, biting and sucking on the skin; making dark red marks bloom. your hands were in his hair, tugging at the black locks, making him groan.

"you're driving me crazy, you know that, angel?"

"oh, is that so?" you said with a smirk on your face.

dabi couldn't stop himself from kissing you again.

and again.

and again.

and again· until you were both left breathless.

you looked up at him, your cheeks flushed and your lips slightly parted as you tried to catch your breath. his thumb was caressing your cheek, having you lean into his touch.

"now, you're seriously gonna leave?"

"you make it sound like i'm leaving for war!" you said, chuckling softly.

"when you go to the grocery store, you take too long"

"i'll try to be quick, then"

"and what if that useless bird follows you around, again?"

"it's not like he's gonna hurt me"

"after all, i could use some help with the grocery bags" you added.

"when did you start taking advantage of people?"

"it's not taking advantage if he's the one insisting on helping"

you pecked his lips goodbye, telling him not to burn your house down while you were gone, before leaving.

and, oh, how right you were; the moment you started walking back home from the grocery store, the wing hero was immediately by your side.

"are you following me around?" you asked, looking at him.

"nice to see you, too, doll"

"you didn't answer the question"

"i'm not a creep! i'm patrolling around here!"

"you've been saying that since forever!"

"oh, sorry, dollface! i'm assigned for this area"

"really?" you asked, in which he nodded.

"jeez... thought you were stalking me, too" you sighed.

"is someone stalking you?"

"uh... used to"

"did you report that?"

"what? no! of course not!"

"that poor man was trying to approach me! it just felt like he was stalking me, when in reality he wasn't. he was just shy to come and talk to me" you lied, smiling at him.

"don't you have a boyfriend?"

"he is my boyfriend"

he looked at you, a surprised expression on his face.

"i... didn't expect that"

"how long have you been together?"

"does it matter?"

"just asking" he smiled.

"a while now"

hawks looked at you sideways, a pout on his face. he was curious about that boyfriend of yours, since he never really spotted you with any male. even, at that moment, he was the one who was carrrying your grocery bags.

"can you carry this one, too? it's heavy" you said, showing him a bag.

"sure, doll"

you walked in silence, the warm air hitting your face. hawks was stuck staring at you, taking in your peaceful expression.

"by the way, are you pregnant?"

"no, thank god"

he threw his head back and laughed, making you playfully hit his side with your elbow.

"hey! it's not funny! you really scared me that day!"

"scared? why? is it a bad thing to have a kid?"

"it's not bad! it's just not what i need in my life, right now"

"understood! you're still pretty young"

"i'm older than you"

"no, you're not"

"i'm 23"

"you're not even that older! just a year"

"and what if i'm lying about my age, and you're talking to a 30 year old woman?" you asked, raising an eyebrow as you looked at him.

"age is only a number" he shrugged.

"besides, you're pretty either way"
