when the villains escaped and the injured heroes were rushed to the central hospital, you tried contacting keigo.
all your calls went to voicemail and all your messages were left on sent. you couldn't just sit around and wait for him, so you opened your laptop to track his location.
you grabbed your jacket and your keys and rushed out of your building— failing to notice touya standing against the nearby alley's wall.
no taxis were passing by since the roads were closed, and that left you no choice but to run. you saw the crowd of reporters outside of the hospital, and how the doctors were trying to keep them out of the building.
you put a face mask on and put the hood of your jacket over your head, as you walked towards the crowd. you pushed past people and snuck into the hospital, heading straight for the staircase on your left.
you looked at your phone, zooming into keigo's location. you quickly run up the stairs to the fifth floor, before checking your surroundings.
once you saw that there were no doctors around, you rushed to the room where keigo seemed to be in.
you opened the door, eyes falling on the todoroki family. you grimaced when you saw endeavor, and you quickly turned to the side.
your eyes welcomed tears as you rushed towards keigo, wrapping your arms around him. even he was surprised by the sudden actions.
"i'm so sorry... you got burned because of me" you whispered, tasting your salty tears.
his body relaxed against yours, as he wrapped one arm around you; the other holding his phone.
"i suppose you're y/n l/n, right?"
you pulled away from him, before looking at best jeanist who stood behind you.
"that's me"
"more importantly, what are you doing here?"
you turned around, looking at keigo.
"you weren't picking up any call"
"i'm sorry! i can't use this app to talk and be on the phone at the same time" he typed on his phone.
"what about the messages?"
"never got one"
"how did you find my location?"
"i tracked it down by using your phone number"
"how did you come in here? the hospital is guarded by police and nobody has a security pass"
"i... i snuck in"
"and, yes, i know it was dangerous and i shouldn't have risked it, but... the last thing i saw about you was you stabbing..."
you couldn't continue. it felt like a lump was stuck in your throat and you couldn't shallow it down.
keigo placed a hand on your shoulder, and you could see the smile in his eyes as he tried to reassure you;
"i'm sorry..."
"we're gonna talk about this whole thing another time, alright?"
