the last time keigo visited you, he flew in from your balcony door.

he found you in your office in the living room, typing on your computer. instead of quitting your job, you had started working from home again.

your boss had disagreed because it was unfair for the rest, but keigo stepped in; telling him that it was dangerous for you to go outside, since you were acquainted with him and the villains could target you for that.

"thought your shift had ended"

"jesus, keigo! you scared me!"

"i'm sorry, dollface" he said, placing his hands on your shoulders.

you turned to look at him, noticing the frown on his face. you got up, standing in front of him.

"what's wrong?"

"are you gonna be okay?"

"of course i'm gonna be okay! what kind of question is that?"

"i meant the war, y/n. are you gonna be okay in here? all alone"

"i'll be fine... i guess"

"if you find yourself in any danger, you're gonna call me immediately and i'll be right by your side"

"keigo, you can't just leave the battlefield like that! you're the number two, for god's sake"

"i don't care about rankings, y/n. if you tell me you're in danger, i'm dropping everyone and rushing to you"

"you getting hurt is the last thing i want" he added, resting his forehead on yours.

"i'll lock myself in here and stay updated on what's happening outside. i promise you i'll be alright"

"just, please... come back to me safe when it's all over"

"i'll come back to you, dollface. i swear"

a bittersweet see you soon kiss was the last thing you shared, before he left that day.

and so, the paranormal liberation war started.
