Patrick woke up and saw daylight seeping through the windows. He stood up and saw a note left by Dave.

"Meet us downstairs." He read aloud. He sighed and stood up.

Timeskip

Patrick was once again just sitting in the jeep not listening to anything. He heard Roxie mention how Darius and Kenji got in trouble and won't be joining them at the genetics lab but that was all he got.

He was sitting in between Yasmina and Ben. He noticed Ben was scrubbing something on his hands, arms and legs causing him and Yasmina to look at him confused but decided not to talk about it.

Genetics Lab

We all walked into the lab. I looked around in awe as did everyone else. Except for Ben who was still looking around nervously. Roxie and Dave went to talk to Dr. Wu, the man responsible for all this. "Dr. Wu! My man! Wassup!" Dave exclaimed while Wu just deadpanned at him.

"Mr. Masrani had accelerated the timetable for our two new exhibits, I simply do not have time to babysit children." Dr. Wu got to the point as he wrote on his clipboard. "However, if you wish, you can take a look at the embryos and eggs while I work"

Roxie nodded at those terms causing the rest of us to walk around. I was looking at a new batch of Para eggs while Ben, Yaz and Sammy looked at the Anky eggs. Brooklyn was recording Wu with her phone.

She managed to tell him she was famous, and that people would want to know about the man who brought Dinosaurs back from the dead. I suddenly heard a crack behind me and saw one of the eggs was hatching.

Everyone gathered around the egg.

After a while it hatched revealing a light blue ankylosaur with a horn that was smaller than the other. It splashed some good on Ben causing him to jump back in disgust.

But Ben's demeanor quickly changed when the baby let out a little roar. He picked it up and treated it as a pet. "Looks like you made a friend Ben" Dave complemented.

"An asymmetry? In my lab?" Wu stated in disbelief. He walked away trying to keep as quiet as possible, but he overheard one of the scientists.

"I heard the new asset escaped during one of Wu's test." One of them said.

"Hey, it's fine. Its injuries from the fight are too severe. It'll die before it can hurt anything." The other scientist said.

Patrick realized that it must've been the dinosaur he heard last night. Whatever it was, it definitely wasn't supposed to be near camp.

Suddenly, Wu entered the room dragging Brooklyn with him. He did not look happy.

"I believe it is time for you all to go now." Wu ordered. Ben walked up to him, still holding the ankylosaur. "But, what about Bumpy?" Ben asked innocently. "Aw, you gave it a name, that's precious" Dave cooed as Wu took Bumpy from Ben.

"The Asset will soon be placed in a new herd of Ankylosaur, where she will become their problem. Just as you will all cease to be mine, when you leave." He explained angrily.

We all left the lab. I turned to see Ben looking back at the baby ankylosaur who was crying for him. He looked like he was about to head back but the door shut in his face

After driving for a few minutes, we arrived at the pile of dug that Darius and Kenji were digging. Darius walked up to the Jeep happily. "Hey kid, how was it?" Dave asked.

"Oh, it was amazing, we learned our lesson, and a bit about each other" He explained happily.

"How was the lab?" Darius asked.

"Oh, it was great, Superstar here got us booted from the lab." Yasmina explained. "that's not what, argh!" Brooklyn yelled annoyed

"Alright, Kenji Darius, meet us back at camp" Roxie said as she drove off.

Once they arrived back everyone was sitting in the living room doing their own thing. Patrick went out onto the balcony and leaned against the railing staring at the stars.

Meanwhile Inside, Yasmina was staring at Patrick curiously. The way he walked, the way he slowly got into the jeep confused her. He turned and walked back inside and sat on the couch next to her.

"Hey" Yaz said nervously. Patrick lightly smiled at her.

"Hey" Patrick said as he lifted his left leg onto his right knee. As he did Yasmina suddenly heard a weird click.

"Did you hear that?" Yasmina asked. Patrick's smile faded into one of fear.

"Could've just been Uncle Dave" Patrick suggested with a smile but with nervousness his voice. Yasmina narrowed her eyes but nodded.

"Maybe. See you tomorrow." Yasmina said with a soft smile before walking to her bunk.

Once she was gone Patrick sighed in relief. He closed his eyes and began to drift asleep.
