The Art of Chill

Patrick was lying against a tree, trying to get just a moment of shut eye. But, he couldn't sleep due to a certain someone who wouldn't stop throwing rocks. The breaking point came when one of the rocks hit the back of Patrick's head.

Before another rock could be throw, Yaz caught it and glared at Kenji who rubbed the back of his head nervously. Yaz turned to Patrick who smiled. "Thanks." Patrick whispered.

"When are you planning on telling the others about..." Yaz whispered gesturing towards Patrick prosthetic that was covered by his long cargo pants. Before Patrick could answer, he heard something. A high pitch roar, somewhere in the distance. He stood up and looked around confusing the group.

"Angoscia?" Patrick asked himself further shocking the group.

"What is it?" Kenji asked.

"A call.  I would take guesses on what wolf calls meant." Patrick whispered with a sad tone. "Whatever that thing was is looking for something. Calling out."

Suddenly, Darius claimed down the tree sighing.

"Good news?" Yasmina asked struggling to stand up.

"The pteranodons are nesting on the eastern mountains, so that's out." Darius explained causing Patrick to groan.

"So we can'T stay on Main Street because dinosaurs." Brooklyn groaned. "The mountains, grasslands and jungle are out because dinosaurs."

"And Kenji's penthouse is out, because he's bad at math." Yaz taunted.

"Hey, I did not think my dad was serious about changing the locks if I failed algebra." Kenji argued defensively. "That is not my fault."

"That's actually completely your fault." Yaz pointed out.

"Ok? It doesn't matter. The whole island is full of dinosaurs!" Kenji pointed out.

"We can't give up yet." Sammy argued examining a map. "We set off the emergency beacon. Now all we have to do is hold up until help arrives."

"Where?" Patrick asked. "We're completely out of options."

"Actually..." Darius trailed. "There is one place we haven't checked but, you're probably not gonna like it."

Timeskip

Darius led the group right towards the ruins of Camp Cretaceous. The tree house fell to the ground, claw marks scarring the trees leaving the group uneasy.

"No way!" Kenji yelled. "Didn't we specifically run away from here?"

"Just hear me out." Darius pleaded. "There's a stream for fresh water, the trees and mountains can shield us from the weather and dinosaur attacks..." Patrick interrupted him by clearing his throat. "Okay, not all dinosaur attacks." Darius corrected. "But Patrick, you know nature better than anyone here. Am I wrong?"
