(A/n) Just fyi, I did cut a few scenes from the episode to save time.
The Hidden Adventure
Isla Nublar
Patrick POV
I usually love rain, especially light storms. But this was a heavy storm, a hurricane, something I never really witnessed. As much as I dreaded returning to camp, I knew we needed food. So did the others, yet they still...
I was taken out of my thoughts by yet another lightning strike, one that caused me to flinch. I looked up to see some of our markings on the tree causing me to groan. Most of the fruit grows on trees and this specific territory...
Screw it.
I walked past the marked tree, keeping my eyes above. Hopefully they were taking shelter and not hunting. I tried to shield my eyes from the leaves and branches flying around.
Looking up I spotted a tree, containing multiple fruit, enough to feed us for another few months. Only problem was that I had to climb.
Straight into their domain.
"Whatever." I whispered to myself as I began to climb. The wind made it harder than normal causing me to grunt. "Come on Palmer. Yaz didn't teach you to climb for no reason."
I continued to climb, leaning on a branch before being startled by a nearby hissing. I turned to see 3 sets of yellow eyes glaring at him, each in a different tree, the storm concealing their figures, but I knew what they were.
One stepped forward. It was shorting that the average Velociraptor but had a much bulkier build, perfect for climbing. It had red skin with a yellow pattern. A Herrarasaurus.
"Crud." I whispered as the Herrarasaurus hissed, slowly climbing its way towards me.
Suddenly, a gust of wind caused the dinosaur to nearly lose its footing, but it was caught by its buddy. The other one jumped to a tree on the left and snarled causing me to start to back away only for the leader to launch itself forwards knocking me off the tree.
I screamed as me and the Herrarasaurus fell, the dinosaur snapping its jaw before the impact took me unconscious, and the world went black.
Until it wasn't?
I woke up to the sensation of a single drop of water falling on my cheek causing me to wake up. Except I was not long in the tree, hell I was in a whole different area. I looked around to find myself in a pit of sorts surrounded by... eggs? I sat up and tried to stand only to find that my prosthetic was missing.
Looking around, I spotted the prosthetic to my left next to one of the eggs. I grabbed it only to hurl back at the disgusting smell coming off it until I spotted a different item. Some sort of video recorder.
My attention was suddenly grabbed by a familiar hissing noise. I turned and saw the Herrarasaurus leader snarling at me causing to to yelp and jump back in fear. The dinosaur snarled before being shocked with a different, much louder roar.
It turned around before being pulled out of my sight, causing me to grab my prosthetic and the camera before limping away, the larger dinosaur finishing off it's prey. I limped, popping my prosthetic back on before suddenly stopping at the sight of a large cliff.
The roar shook the jungle again causing me to gasp.
"Gotta get outta here." I whispered looking between an unstable vine that could bring me down, or I could jump in a nearby tree to hopefully slow my fall. None of these options were ideal but the mystery dinosaur made a weird clicky noise causing me to jump into the tree before slowly climbing my way down.
