The Leap

Ben and Darius both sat in the living room of Mae's cave. The flinched at the sound of robotic whirring only to calm down when Patrick walked into the room with Yaz, holding a cup of coffee. Him and Yaz were laughing until they saw the two sitting on the couch.

"Uh oh. Darius and Ben have their serious faces on." Yaz remarked causing Patrick to laugh.

"Hey love birds." Brooklyn retorted. "How's the leg Patrick?"

"Awesome!" Patrick exclaimed sitting down, bending his knee. "How'd you get it to move this way?"

"Long, painfully long story." Brooklyn said.

"So, what were you two thinking about?" Yaz questioned facing Darius and Ben.

"We may have destroyed Mr. Kon's way to make Dino control chips..." Darius started. "But he's always one step ahead. We need a way to protect them from whatever he's got up his sleeve."

"But apparently disguises are off the table." Ben said.

"Wonder why." Patrick joked.

"This is so nice. All of us warm and cozy, sharing a nice cup of cocoa together." Sammy said. "Too bad we can't do that for the dinos. It'd be a lot easier to keep them safe if they were all snuggled in one place."

"Yeah..." Darius said, an idea dawning on him.

Timeskip

The group now stood outside the cave, next to the waterfall where a small pond was forming.

"What's the one place on Nublar where all the Dino's got along." Darius questioned.

"The watering hole!" Sammy exclaimed.

"That's a good idea. If not for the lack of... well water." Patrick said.

"What of we just fill a bunch of buckets with water?" Sammy asked.

"There has to be some vent we can cover up to make the place flood." Patrick said. "Plus, we actually need dinosaurs."

"Well, I got that covered." Ben said. "Firecracker's my girl. I'll so pick up Pierce."

"Me and Pat will come with." Yaz said. "We can swing by the Snow Biome and Pick up Tank, Angel, Rebel and Nasal."

"Sounds good." Patrick said as him, Ben and Yaz all walked towards the hatch.

Once they entered they turned to see five sets of jackets, heavy enough to survive in the arctic.

"Hm. Convenient." Patrick retorted grabbing two of the jacket, handing one off to Yaz.

"Gee thanks Patrick, I really appreciate the jacket." Ben said causing the couple to laugh as the group all put on their jackets. "Why don't we just take a glider?"

"We don't want to spook the herd." Yaz simply said.

"Aw, you've been listening to me..." Patrick cooed sarcastically only for Yaz to nudge his chest with her elbow. "Ow!"

Ben chuckled and opened the hatch revealing the Snow  Biome.

"Careful. The Nanuqsaurs are still out here." Ben hissed. As if on queue, two roars echoed across the biome.

"They're hunting, but they're far." Patrick whispered. "Let's make this quick."

The group all walked through the snow, a blizzard picking up causing Yaz to groan and throw a hood over her head.
