Salvation
"It can't be..." Yaz whispered starting at the smoke. "Is it?"
"I see it too." Brooklyn added.
"That is most def a bonfire." Kenji said, still in shock. "Someone got our SOS!"
"What are we waiting for?" Darius asked. "Let's go find them."
The group burst into excited cheers before heading to the ground. Yaz stopped when she saw Patrick still staring forward blankly.
"Hey, you good dude?" Yasmina asked snapping her friend out of his trance.
"I'm fine." Patrick assured with a smile before walking towards her. "Let's go home."
The group were now running together through the jungle towards the smoke. Brooklyn jumped onto a nearby tree.
"We're getting close!" Brooklyn yelled jumping back down.
Suddenly, the group halted at the sound of a loud roar. The stood back-to-back nervously.
"The hell was that?" Patrick asked queitly.
"A really big Compy?" Kenji asked hopeful. However, both their questions were answered when a Ceratosaurus burst out of the tree line straight for the kids. Before they could even run, a flare shot into the air, and they were thrown backward by three mysterious figures. The Cerato roared as they fire more flares before running off. The adults looked back at the children who were staring at them in awe.
"You okay?" The man with the hat asked.
"Uh... who are you?" Darius asked still staggered.
"Well maybe after all that you should call us your salvation." The blond woman retorted.
The group, now walking with their saviors, couldn't contain their smiles.
"We could not believe it when we saw your campfire." Brooklyn said.
"Did you get left behind too?" Darius asked causing Kenji to laugh.
"No looking like that they didn't." Kenji joked.
"Yeah." Sammy laughed. "Are you like, some stylish rescue squad?" Sammy asked.
"Guys, chill." Darius said. "We don't even know your names."
"Well, I'm Mitch." The said before gesturing to the woman. "My better half here is Tiff, we're Eco Tourists."
"Wildlife photographers?" Patrick asked wide eyes causing Mitch to nod.
"When we heard what happened here, we were like, zoop!" Mitch said. "Gotta get down here."
