Dino Sitting

Nighttime shined over the compound. The group all ran through the bushes, trying to avoid the two sleeping Raptors. Once Patrick realized the coast was clear, he beckoned forward and the group all moved right below the roof of the compound.

Once Darius had let down the rope, Patrick grabbed it and began climbing up, followed by the others until it was just Brooklyn left on the ground. She took a deep breath when suddenly, the two raptors awoke from their slumber and snarled at her.

Brooklyn gasped began desperately climbing, but the raptors already ran right towards her. She closed her eyes in preparation when suddenly she was pulled up to the roof in an instant. Patrick and Darius pulled her over the railing allowing her to sigh in relief.

"You okay?" Patrick asked causing Brooklyn to nod.

"Good thing you gave me voice command for old BRAD here." Darius said gesturing to the BRAD-X that had the rope tied around it.

"Yeah. Good thing." Brooklyn whispered.

After all the excitement, Darius had led the others into the compound.

"This elevator will take you down to the nursery." Darius explained pushing the button for the elevator. "Kash is planning to test the control chips on the baby dinosaurs first thing in morning."

"What about cameras?" Brooklyn questioned.

"Mr. Genius has been too lazy to set them up." Darius explained.

"We'll message you on the BRAD-X as soon as the babies are out." Patrick said as the elevator door closed.

Once the elevator reached the med bay, the group walked to where Darius had told them to. Once they reached the entrance to the nursery, Ben examined a screen.

"Looks like there's only four babies in the nursery." Ben said.

"We'll take the right." Yaz said holding Patrick's hand and dragging him to the right until they reached a separate hatch.

"Huh." Patrick said examining the screen next to the door. "A Pachyrhinosaurus. Mid juvenile stage."

"Says the egg was taken from the herd in the snow biome." Yaz whispered as Patrick opened the hatch revealing a baby Pachyrhinosaurus. Once they entered it turned and let out a squeak causing Yaz to back away.

"Hey little buddy." Patrick cooed opening the hatch. The baby was big. Up to Patrick's knee. It jumped up and down excited before ramming its head into Patrick knocking him down with a ground.

"Ha!" Yaz chuckled as the Pachyrhinosaurus looked at her with large curious eyes. He walked forward and nudged its head into her leg. Yaz's smiled faded as she flinched away, concerning Patrick.
