Yasmina's POV

I looked up after my head collided with the steering wheel. My vision was blurry, but I managed to lift my head up and see the others in the back sit up, groaning in pain.

"Ow" Ben groaned as I heard Bumpy let out a squeal.

"Is everyone ok?" Darius asked.

"Is everyone..." I yelled angrily just to interrupt myself by laughing hysterically. I jumped out of the van and began storming off.

"Wait! Yasmina!" I heard Sammy yell from behind me. I heard her following me.

"We're not okay!" I yelled with anger.

"Yaz..." Sammy pleaded

"We're in the middle of the jungle with no way out of here and you!!" I ranted as I spun around staring at the girl who I thought was my friend with hate. "You..." I continue emotionally.

"Destroyed our only way out and lied about it!" Brooklyn finished for me. "I told you guys!"

"So, you did take Brooklyn's phone?" Darius asked. "Why? What were you doing?"

"Probably trying to erase my video of her taking those samples from the Sinoceratops." Brooklyn explained when she suddenly gasped. "And you knew about the Indominus Rex and the Indoraptor because you were snooping around in Dr. Wu's office when I ran into you. I knew it!"

"I didn't mean to destroy the phone." Sammy explained frantically. "I fell on it when the zipline came down and..."

"But you did steal it?" Ben interjected "you had it this whole time and didn't tell us?"

"Hold up, what were you doing in Dr. Wu's office Brooklyn?" Darius asked.

"I... it doesn't matter!" She answered frantically. "I didn't break our only way to call for help and then lied about it! This is not my fault! This is her fault!"

"I'm here to spy!" Sammy suddenly yelled causing everyone to look at her. "For a company called Mantah Corp"

"Mantah Corp?" Darius questioned. "They're a bio engineering company. Big rivals with Masrani. They tried to make Dinosaurs to, but Wu beat them to it."

I looked at Sammy with pure hurt

"Our ranch was in trouble, so my folks had to borrow a lot of money from some shady people." Sammy explained "we didn't know they were fronting for Mantah Corp. they said we'd lose everything unless I spied for them." She turned to me with sad eyes, I only looked back with disgust. "This is the last thing I wanted to happen." She explained to me causing me to scoff.

"Oh, to be next to a broken van on killer dinosaur island? Hey me too! What are the odds?" I yelled "Was it all a lie, wanting to be friends? Pretending you cared about..." I let out a shaky sigh.

"Tell me I'm wrong." I challenged. Sammy just looked down at the ground.

"Go away, Sammy" I ordered and walked back towards the group.

Patrick limped forward. I gasped as he held his left thigh in pain.

"Look I know the situation we're in is suboptimal..." he started.

"It's trash, just say it's trash Ben." Brooklyn interrupted.

"Uh, yes but despite the obvious trashitude..."

Suddenly Bumpy's head perked up and began roaring.

"What's wrong girl?" Patrick asked.

Suddenly the Indominus barreled through the tree line right towards us. It let out a roar and ran right towards us. We all screamed and moved out of the way behind the van but it just ignored us.
