(A/n) so I just wanted to clear up some things that I forgot to earlier. Patrick is 15 while the Campers are their respective cannon ages. Also this is what Patrick's prosthetic looks like.

At Least...

The group exited the cave, the sunlight blinding them instantly blinding them. Once their sight returned they saw that they were, in a desert...

"Patrick, analysis?" Kenji asked causing Patrick to narrow his eyes.

"Uhm, let's see, sand, cactus, its desert Kenji!" Patrick yelled as Yaz stepped forward. "We're not in Costa Rica. What do you want me to say?"

"Looks more like Australia?" Darius asked. "No way we traveled that far right?"

"So, we know where we aren't. Any idea where we are?" Brooklyn asked.

"Nope." Yaz groaned frustrated. "Just that we're stranded. Alone. Again."

"Don't worry. We just gotta asses the situation." Patrick said looking into the distance to see something shining. "Look, there's something shining out there!"

"I see it! Something shiny mean something metal!" Ben exclaimed. "And where there's metal, there are usually people!"

"Hold up. You want to go across the scorching hot desert because you saw something shiny?" Kenji questioned.

"We have now idea what's out there." Darius pointed out.

"Oh my sweet children." Ben said. "So we're not in Costa Rica. And we don't know where we are. And we have no hope. But we didn't know how we were going to survive Nublar, and yet we did. By sheer will, determination and teamwork. There aren't even dinosaurs here, so logically this should be easier! So let's go out there and, y'know, survive!"

The group all stared at him before walking away.

"Sure." Yaz groaned.

"It was a good speech Ben." Patrick said lightly punching his shoulder. Ben smiled before following the others into the desert.

A few minutes of walking later, Patrick had a bad feeling about this place. This wasn't like any desert he had ever studied.

"This place is weird." Kenji said, breaking Patrick out of his trance. "It's like another planet or something. Oh, maybe we were abducted by aliens."

"Because that makes perfect sense." Brooklyn retorted sarcastically.

"As if being trapped with dinosaurs wasn't enough, now we're trapped on some deserted island." Yaz groaned.

"Well, at least it's a nice day..." Ben said.

"At least... there aren't any mosquitoes here." Sammy added.
