Darius couldn't help but smile. Staring out at the jungle from the tree house finally let the situation sink in. He pulled his notebook out of his pocket and flipped through the pages of dinosaur facts he gathered until a small picture fell out of the pages. He caught it and stared at the photo of him and his dad causing him to smile.
"I know we still got another twelve hours until the boat is in ship shape, but it seems totes dry to me." Kenji suddenly said climbing up the tree house and sitting on the couch. "I really wanted to poke it again but I didn't. Restraint yo."
Kenji looked at Darius noticing his somber expression.
"Hey man, what's wrong?" Kenji asked concerned.
"Oh, nothing." Darius assured tucking the photo in his pocket. "I always meant to check out a Gallimimius for my... well I just never got around to it."
"Go now." Kenji said. "Brooklyn and Sammy are off investigating a mystery, Yaz is out on a so-called run, Patrick's searching for Fang and Ben's probably off being weird."
"Nah." Darius said. "I gotta get the supplies collected for the trip to Costa Rica."
"I'll do it." Kenji said shocking Darius.
"You?" Darius asked. "Seriously? I mean there is a lot to do and..."
"Like I always say. The more to do, the more I got this." Kenji said causing Darius to roll his eyes.
"You've never said that." Darius pointed out. "But... if you're sure."
"Dude, positive. Go find your Galileo." Kenji assured causing Darius to smile.
"Awesome! Thank you Kenj." Darius said going down the ladder taking a Walkie with him. "We need food, water and I'll be on channel 6 in case of emergency! You are officially in charge?"
"I'm in charge?" Kenji asked now that he was seemingly alone. "I'm in chagre! Kenji is in charge! Kenji is in charge!"
"What is going on?" Ben suddenly asked causing Kenji to gasp.
"I need you to... grab some toilet paper." Kenji said.
"Seriously?" Ben asked crossing his arms.
"We're gonna need it on the way to Coast Rica and I'm in charge." Kenji shot.
"Sure." Ben said unimpressed before walking away.
Elsewhere
Darius sat on top of a rock, taking notes of a passing Gallimimus herd. One suddenly stopped to look up at him before slowly approaching him before suddenly getting scared off by something in the nearby bushes.
