Escape from Isla Nublar
Day time finally set in on Isla Nublar. The blue skies and white clouds overlooked the boat, that now floated in the ocean, a few miles away from the dock where they saw Scorpios. Kenji was still in the cabin, while Patrick, Yaz, Sammy and Brooklyn stared at the coast.
"Kenji?" Patrick asked nervously.
"I know, I know." Kenji said. "We're heading back to the dock. Hopefully the Scorpios cleared out by now."
The boat finally began moving back towards the coast. Once arriving at the dock, Patrick and Yaz both jumped down, followed by the others. The walked up the dock carefully before a spiked tail swung above them causing them to yelp and duck, Patrick and Yaz holding each other tightly, before letting out a sigh of relief when they realized it was just a Stegosaur.
The Dino let out an annoyed roar before stalking away.
"No Scorpios." Brooklyn said.
"Yet." Yaz corrected as Patrick and Sammy stood up.
"Guys!" Sammy yelled before the two sprinted towards the jungle, followed by Brooklyn and Yaz, while Kenji stayed hidden.
"What is it?" Kenji asked. "Describe it with words!"
"Just get over here Kenji!" Patrick yelled causing Kenji to groan and stand up, following the group to see the Limo from the penthouse leaning against a tree, completely wrecked.
"Darius and Ben?" Brooklyn asked horrified.
"They got away." Patrick said gesturing to a pair of human tracks.
"Can you track them?" Yaz asked.
"Who do you think you're talking to?" Patrick asked standing up. "This way."
Timeskip
Patrick was leading the group through the jungle, now struggling to keep up with the tracks.
"They started running." Patrick said.
"From what?" Yaz asked causing Patrick to shrug.
"I have a few ideas." The boy said as he pushed through a bush only to stop at the sight before him. "But... this narrowed it down to one."
The group followed him and saw the jungle completely destroyed, fallen trees and large, uneven footprints in the middle of the track.
"Something big came through here." Yaz said.
"A lot of them." Patrick added.
"So? We're looking for Ben and Darius, remember?" Kenji asked. "This is just dinosaurs doin dinosaur stuff."
"No..." Sammy whispered holding a branch. "They destroyed the leaves they like to eat."
"Kenji's right." Patrick said. Before he could elaborate further, a roar echoed through the air putting the group on edge.
"I swear, if that's the Scorpios Rex..." Kenji groaned as the creature roared again, coming from the other side of a fallen tree. They slowly crept forward and peaked around to see, not a Scorpios, but a baby Brachiosaurus, looking around scared and confused.
"Awww." Sammy cooed rushing forward.
"Sammy, wait!" Patrick yelled but the girl just ran forward and began petting the baby dinosaur. "Okay, lets all just..."
