As everyone at 51 got ready for morning briefing spirits were high as they heard that the shooter was had been handled. " okay people settle down." Casey said. "There's a lot to talk about. ;first things first due to the CFD getting increased funding. Squad 3 and Squad 1 have been allowed an extra person. Second of all Joe Cruz has passed the Lieutenants test." Casey said which lead to an ovation. "Now Cruz you have a choice, either stay on Squad 3 until you find a Rig, or go into the floater pool."

Cruz without hesitation knew his answer. "Well since Squad 3 can now have 5 people. I'll stay on Squad 3."

Casey smiled. "Very well, oh  Mouch next shift you're officially on Squad 3, Kidd You'll get a list of floaters for his replacement, next Annabelle Herrmann has transferred to Firehouse 40, she wanted to spread her wings. Brett that means you need to find a permanent replacement."

"What about Novak?" Brett asked.

"Find by me, this place is amazing." Lyla replied.

"Then that's settled." Casey said. "Last two things. "Candidate Halstead is a full time member of Truck 81." another round of applause. "And last but not least. Due to his fearlessness and quick thinking during the Chicago Med fire I am happy to announce that Lieutenant Christopher Herrmann will be promoted to the next Captain of Firehouse 51." The meeting room erupted into applause. "The ceremony is at the end of shift. Dismissed."

Then the PA system went off. "Ambulance 61. Engine 51. Squad 3. Truck 81. Battalion 25. Structure fire *location."

As everyone got into Truck 81 Mouch spoke up. "Last shift on Truck. Next shift Sam you'll be driving." Mouch then looked over to Kidd who looked very pale. "You okay Lieutenant?" He asked. Kidd then proceeded to get out and be sick. "Chief, Kidd's just been sick."

"Copy that, Truck 81 stand down." Casey said over the radio. "Battalion 25 to main, my Truck Lieutenant has thrown up, dispatch a different Truck Company to the structure fire."

"Copy that Battalion 25. Truck 72 has been dispatched

At Firehouse 25 the PA system goes off. " Truck 72 structure fire, *location*

After the call everyone got out of the vehicles Casey looked around. " Kylie. Where's Lieutenant Kidd?"

"In her office resting Chief." Kylie responded.

"Cruz. Severide with me." Casey ordered.

The three men walked to Kidd's office and once they arrived they saw Kidd being sick in the trash can. "Hey Chief." She says to " felt nauseous this morning, been throwing up on and off since you left."

Casey looked at Stella. "Kidd I need you to be honest with me. Is it possible that you're pregnant?"

"Yeah, it's possible, last time me and Kelly had intercourse, we forgot about protection." Kidd replied.

"Okay I'm not talking any chances. You're on medical, until you can confirm that you're not pregnant." Casey said. "Cruz your acting Truck Lieutenant until further notice ."

As the three men go into the common room Casey Looked around. "Attention. Kidd is okay. However I've had to put her on Medical, Joe Cruz will be acting Lieutenant on Truck for the foreseeable future."

Mouch raises his hand. "Does that mean I'm on Squad 3 now."

Casey pauses a second. "Yes it does. Carver you are now Truck 81s driver." Casey said. He would need a permanent solution if Kidd is actually pregnant.

Then the PA system went off. "Truck 81. Smoke reported *location*"

"Okay people let's go." Cruz said.

It took about 5 minutes for Truck 81 to get to the address, it was a restaurant then Javi came out. "Hey Dad. It was a small oven fire but I put it out."

Cruz smiled. "Bien hecho, hijo."

"Hey could you ask Mouch and Herrmann if I can rent out Mollys patio for mine and Annabelle's 8 year anniversary?" Javi asked

"Will do." Cruz smiled. The first Valentine's Day after Casey and Brett left for Portland, Javi bought Annabelle a bouquet of her favourite flowers, the two of them spent the afternoon together at Grant Park having Pizza and a full on picnic because Javi had gone all out. "Come on 81 let's head back."

Upon 81s return to 51 Cruz noticed Chief Boden's buggy was parked he must've returned from his rounds while they were out on call, in fact he came through the doors. "Lieutenant Joe Cruz it has a nice ring to it."

Cruz smiled at Boden. "Casey told you why?" He asked

"Yep. But you've earned this." Boden Answered

Then Herrmann came out as well. "Herrmann, Javi wants to know if he can rent Mollys patio for his and Annabelle's anniversary." Cruz asked the soon to be Captain, Herrmann gave a thumbs up

Then the PA system went off. "Ambulance 61. Engine 51. Squad 3. Truck 81. Battalion 25. Ambulance 102. Engine 40. Truck 57 warehouse fire *location*

"Hey that's Annabelle's firehouse." Herrmann pointed out.

Casey was driving to the call when his radio went off. "Battalion 25 this is Truck 57, we have confirmation nobody is inside. Everyone got out safely."

Casey picked up his radio. "Copy that. Engine 40 open up the water cannons." Casey ordered. Once Firehouse 51 arrived, the fire was still burning. "51 open up your water cannons."

Once the fire was out Engine 40s Captain offered to do the overhaul so 51 was heading back to the station. When something came over the radio. "Ambulance 61 pregnant woman collapsed 1360 S. Blue Island Avenue."

"Thats the firehouse." Brett said confused, but then it hit her. "Oh my god. Stella!"
