"Okay listen up." Boden said. "Herrmann is taking this shift off to be with Cindy, but he will be back next shift, Mouch you are still acting Engine Lieutenant, second thing Carver has taken a few shifts Furlough, Kylie your 81's driver until he returns." Boden looked serious. "Listen the news of Violet's pregnancy has probably thrown a serious wrench to Carver, let's show up for him." Boden looked up. "Dismissed."

"Squad 3 possible drowning *location*"

"Let's go." Severide said

Squad 3 arrived at what looked like a car crash Deputy Chief Walker comes up to them. "We pulled out a car, but there was nobody in it, you have 5 minutes."

"Chief hold Squad off, I've found him." Captain Welch said over the radio

"Copy that." Walker said. "Sorry about this"

"No problem at all Chief." Severide said. "Hey Welch it's Severide what's the status of the victim?"

"We got him." Welch said.

"That's everyone accounted for, you may return to quarters." Walker said

As Squad 3 returned to 51 they saw Assistant Deputy Commissioner Adam Perry exit his vehicle. "Wallace."

"Sir how may I help you." Boden asked

"In doing my due diligence I asked the Mikami parents to send over any documents of Paramedic Mikami, I found a note stating what day she was going to tell you, it was at the end of the shift that took her life." He finished. "You and Chief Casey are cleared of all wrongdoing. Unfortunately you are still on reduced duty for this shift. Next shift you may return to full duty."

"Thank you sir." Boden said. "While I have you here what is the Commissioner's office saying about my appeal about Captain Severide's transfer?"

"Unfortunately that decision still stands." Perry said. "Is that all?"

"Yes sir." Boden said

Then Perry got a phone call. "Yeah I'm still at 51... I'll tell him." He then put the phone down. "Turns out DC Hill got the paperwork filled quickly, a lot of people respect you Boden, you are back to full duty."

"Thank you sir" Boden said.

"I look forward to see the results of who is going to see who will be the new Deputy Commissioner." He proceeds to get into his buggy and leave.

" congratulates Chief." Severide said.

"Hey Chief." It was Borrelli. "Dan Charles was just on the phone, Carver is at Med, he started breaking down in front of Hannah."

"Severide could you cover me?" Boden asked,

"Yeah you're covered. Severide replied

Upon Boden arriving at Med Monique came out to him. "Follow me Chief." She said

Monique took Boden to the Nurses lounge area where Carver and Kidd were. "Stella shouldn't you be resting?"

"No I've been discharged, a lot of bed rest." Kidd replied

"Would you mind giving us a minute alone?" Boden asked. To which Kidd nodded and left the room. "Talk to me Sam"

"I was finally starting to get over her death, then to find out she was pregnant." Carver started

"Ambulance 61. Engine 51. Truck 81. DDC 2-2-6 smoke investigation *location*"

"You back to full duty?" Carver asked

"Yeah, Violet was planning on telling me about her pregnancy at the end of the shift that took her life, she wrote that down therefore there was proof I didn't know anything, enough about me, what about you?"
