I look at my reflection in the mirror, barely recognizing the tired, worn-out version of myself staring back at me. It's been only eight months since I gave birth to our adorable daughter, Demi, but it feels like an eternity. I'm exhausted, mentally and physically, from the constant demands of motherhood.

But thank God for Charlie. My husband has been an absolute saint, taking care of Demi and me with equal parts patience and love. I couldn't have asked for a better partner in this journey of parenthood.

Right now, Charlie is gently bouncing Demi on his knee, trying to calm her down before dinner. "Come on, sweetheart," he coos, "let's get you ready for Grandma and Grandpa's house."

Demi gurgles and kicks her little legs, her face lighting up with a huge smile. I can't help but smile back, my heart swelling with love for my little family.

"Okay, little one," Charlie says, standing up and making his way to the changing table. "Let's get you into a fresh diaper and then we'll pick out a nice outfit for you to wear."

As Charlie changes Demi's diaper, I watch them, my heart overflowing with gratitude. "Thank you," I say softly, my voice barely above a whisper.

Charlie looks up at me, a soft smile on his face. "For what?"

"For being an amazing father," I reply, my voice choked with emotion. "I don't know what I'd do without you."

Charlie's smile widens, and he walks over to me, wrapping me in a tight embrace. "You'd be just fine," he murmurs into my hair. "But I'm glad I'm here to help."

We pull apart, and Charlie turns his attention back to Demi, who is now squirming and cooing with excitement. "Alright, little lady," he says, picking up a pink onesie with a bow on the front. "How about this one?"

Demi kicks her legs and reaches out her hands, making grabbing motions towards the onesie. Charlie takes that as a yes and carefully puts it on her, fastening the snaps with practiced ease.

"Perfect," I say, my heart swelling with love for my little family. "She looks beautiful."

Charlie beams with pride, his eyes shining with love. "She definitely takes after her mother," he says, placing a kiss on Demi's forehead.

We make our way to Charlie's parents' house, where his sister Cecily and her fiance Noah are waiting for us. Cecily and Noah are expecting their first child, and they've asked us to be there when they make the announcement to the family.

Charlie's parents, Y/n and Adrien Agreste, greet us warmly, their faces lighting up with joy when they see Demi. "Hello, my beautiful granddaughter," Y/n coos, reaching out to take Demi from Charlie's arms.

Demi giggles and grabs onto Y/n's finger, squeezing it with all her might. Adrien chuckles and places a kiss on Demi's forehead. "She's growing so quickly," he says, his voice filled with wonder.

We make our way to the dining room, where the rest of the family is already gathered. Cecily and Noah are sitting at the table, their faces full of excitement.

"Hey, guys," Cecily says, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "Thanks for coming."

Charlie and I take our seats, and I can feel the anticipation building in the room. "So, what's the big news?" Zoe, Charlie's 16-year-old sister, asks, her eyes wide with curiosity.

Cecily looks at Noah, who takes her hand and squeezes it. "Well," Cecily begins, her voice trembling with excitement. "We have some news to share with all of you."

The room falls silent, and all eyes are on Cecily and Noah. "We're expecting," Cecily says, her voice filled with joy.

The room erupts in cheers and applause, and Charlie and I exchange a happy glance. I can see the tears of joy in his eyes, and my own heart swells with happiness.

As the night goes on, we laugh and talk and eat, our hearts full of love and joy. And I can't help but feel grateful for my little family, and for the new addition that is on the way.

I look at Demi, who is now fast asleep in her stroller, and I know that I would do anything for her. And I know that Charlie feels the same way.

As we say our goodbyes and make our way back home, I can't help but feel grateful for the love and support of our family. And I know that no matter what life throws our way, we will always have each other.
