It's finally here, the day I've been dreaming of for what feels like forever. My wedding day. I wake up early, the sun barely peeking over the horizon, and take a deep breath. Today is the day I marry the love of my life, Charlie.
I roll out of bed and make my way to the bathroom, passing by my bridesmaids who are all still asleep in their rooms. I take a long, hot shower and then get dressed in my robe before making my way to the living room of the villa we've rented for the week.
As I enter, I'm greeted by the sight of my mom, Amy, and Charlie's mom, Y/n Agreste, sipping coffee and chatting quietly. "Good morning, dear," my mom says, standing up to give me a hug. "How did you sleep?"
"Okay, I think," I reply, my stomach fluttering with nerves. "I'm just so excited and a little bit stressed, you know?"
"Of course, sweetheart," Y/n says, patting my hand. "But everything is going to be just fine. Today is going to be a perfect day."
Just then, Cecily and Zoe, Charlie's sisters and my bridesmaids, enter the room. They're still in their pajamas, but their eyes are bright with excitement. "Morning, Harper!" Zoe says, giving me a hug.
"Good morning, Zoe," I say, smiling at her. "Are you ready for the big day?"
"Absolutely!" she exclaims. "I can't wait to see you in your dress and to watch you and Charlie get married."
As we sip our coffee and chat, the door to the villa opens and a team of hair and makeup artists enter. It's time to get ready.
I take a seat in front of the mirror and the artists get to work. They curl my hair and apply makeup, chatting and laughing as they do. Meanwhile, the other bridesmaids take turns getting their hair and makeup done.
As I watch the artists work, I can't help but feel a pang of stress. My dress, an off-the-shoulder white dress with a v-neck, a leg slit, and lace everywhere with rhinestones and a gold belt with embellishments, is hanging on the door, waiting for me to put it on. And my veil, a long one with a lace trim, is carefully placed on the table.
"Hey, Harper, are you okay?" Cecily asks, noticing my worried expression.
"I'm just a little stressed," I admit. "I just want everything to be perfect."
"It will be," she reassures me. "You look absolutely beautiful and Charlie is going to be so happy when he sees you. Just take a deep breath and try to enjoy this moment."
I take her advice and take a deep breath, trying to steady my racing heart. She's right, I think to myself. Today is my wedding day and I should enjoy every moment of it.
As the hair and makeup artists finish up, I stand up and make my way to my dress. I slip it on and adjust it, making sure everything is just right. Then, I put on my veil and take one last look in the mirror.
I look like a princess, I think to myself. I'm ready to marry the love of my life.
As I make my way to the door, I'm greeted by cheers and applause from my bridesmaids. "You look stunning, Harper!" they exclaim.
I smile, feeling a rush of excitement. It's time to walk down the aisle and become a wife.
As I step outside, I'm greeted by the warm Hawaiian sun and the sound of the ocean waves. I take a deep breath, feeling a sense of peace wash over me.
Today is the day I'm gonna marry Charlie and nothing is going to ruin that.
