Perfected Tempest

Side Stories pt. 4

                                Garcia's POV

After my master had assigned me and Pico to watch over his cousin in his room so he didn't try to escape. I became worried that we weren't enough to contain him if he wanted to leave. But as Veldanava said he stayed there after he was brought here against his will. When I asked him why he said it was more important that he stayed here so he didn't cause anymore problems to the plan him and Veldanava made together. I tried asking him what that plan was when Feldway asked me to try getting any information but I never got anything from him. Both him and Veldanava kept quiet about this deal between them but oddly had a lot of trust between them anyway.

While Rimuru as he later told me his name was started to make odd containers with weird liquids in them for an unknown purpose. It seemed he had an actual objective to do while in exile. Veldanava also visited from time to time and even helped him in making the growth capsules as they called them. Eventually they finished making them and then Rimuru started to make physical bodies in them. Soon after Veldanava left to do his work and that's when the real horrors began.

Garcia- "I don't understand. What are all these thousands of bodies for?"

Rimuru- "They are for my new subordinates the white numbers."

After he said that he summoned thousands of angels of all kinds. Usually I heard from Veldanava when summoning angels through a skill you need to choose either all of one kind of angel. Like a few high ranking seraphim or a lot of mindless low level angels. It should be impossible to do both. Yet here this man just does it with no effort whatsoever. It made me question everything I knew. I even started to feel like Veldanava lied to me which is blasphemous to even think of. I know that Veldanava is all powerful so how did, this, thing, do it. I had to ask him so my doubts could be answered.

Garcia- "How is this possible. Veldanava told me this is impossible and that's why there are only us few seraphim. The rest of the energy when he had time to is to make low level angels as our subordinates."

Rimuru- "Veldanava probably can't after he weakened his powers of his own accord. It takes a lot of processing power to do this. It also doesn't help that the energy in heaven you can use along with the primordial spirit of light needing around 500 years to recover doesn't help. I just made it's so I get a little of all kinds of angels instead of all of one type. It helps with my objective better. I could just make all of them low level angels then combine them together and give them egos but I want them to acquire their own will. Veldanava recommended I do that since artificial egos have less will then natural ones do. It's why elemental spirits are so weak in the triangle that is demons, angels and elementals. Elemental spirits almost never acquire a will strong enough to awaken unlike the latter two."

Pico- "Wait so you mean Veldanava is now weaker than you? That's impossible right, I mean he created everything."

Rimuru- "No it's not the case after he willingly weakened himself to keep himself entertained. He can't even lost a skill only I have now. He used it to create everything, so technically I could do exactly what he did again if I want to but I won't have to sacrifice the skill like he did to do it. Don't get me wrong however, he was still stronger than I was in his prime it's just he isn't in his prime anymore."

Pico- "I hear you but I still find it hard to accept still."

After that Pico seemed lost in thought for a while and I continued to watch Rimuru do his experiments. He then waited for all of the angels to finish merging with the bodies before a named all of them. He didn't even get weaker from it if anything he got stronger. He truly is the opposite of my master. He acts similar to Veldanava but his actions are almost the exact opposite of his mostly. When Veldanava creates something he gives them parts of his power as a gift to their birth but this guy makes them acquire their own strength and then helps them get stronger through training and teaching them to get skills. He continued doing this for as long as he could and he even sent some angels to acquire elementals for him for the same purpose as the angels. I wonder what he needs all of this power for. But Veldanava never questioned it so I didn't either.
