I head over to the table, and everyone is staring at me like I am some alien evading the planet.
"I mean I know I look good, but you don't have to stare." I say, sitting down.
Andres scoffs, and Jax chuckles. I look over at Elio and he has a gigantic smile on his face.
"High five!" He says before extending his hand in the air. I didn't flinch, which is good. That is probably because he announced what he was doing. I shake my head before high-fiving him.
"Okay so you want to tell us what all of that was about?" Toni asks.
"Just a bitch being a bitch. You know, the usual." I say before yawning.
"What did she want?" Ryder asks.
"Oh I am sure its nothing you guys haven't heard before. 'stay away from them they are mine.'" I mimic in a super high pitch voice. "I mean what type of weird shit are you guys into. I mean I am not one to judge, but you guys are brothers." I say with a sarcastic eye roll already knowing they aren't doing anything with her. Well besides Antonio, I remember that whole thing. Just the thought makes me shutter.
"Nova to the Principles office, Nova to the Principles office." I hear a voice laced with anger say over the loud speaker.
"I mean he didn't say a last name, so what are the chances I can get away with saying I thought he meant someone else?" I ask, already knowing the answer.
"Go. Toni go with her, I will call Lorenzo." Elio says.
"Oh no not Lorenzo. I am gonna have to listen to him ramble on while he tries to give me shit." I say with a fake whine.
"I don't know how you do it. One word from him when he is mad, and I feel like I am gonna shit my pants." Elio says.
"Alright, lets go we don't want to miss our introduction with the principle." Jax says getting up.
As we starting walking for the doors that lead out of the cafeteria, I speak up. "What are you doing?" I ask Andres as he trails behind us.
"What? I'm bored. This gives me some type of entertainment." He says with a shrug. I roll my eyes and keep walking.
When we reach the office, I just walk in cause there is no point in wasting energy when I was already called down.
"You called for me." I say with my emotionless face intact. I see Valentina standing next to him with a fake pout on her face, and her hand on his shoulder. Weird.
"Yes. I would like to know what right you thought you had, for beating up my daughter, and then embarrassing her in front of the school!" Daughter? Oh my it makes sense.
"Well I can see where she gets her temper from." I mumble, but apparently not quite enough because Jax snickers. The principle narrows his eyes at me. "Listen, Mr.... Vanessa part 2, your daughter started it. So I think you should be asking her why she tried to put her hands on me, causing me to have to defend myself." I say calmly.
"Now I know you did not just come in here, and try to call my daughter a li-"
"It is true sir. Your daughter tried to hit Nova first." Jax says.
"And who are you?"
"A witness."
"If that is the case, I am sure my daughter had a reason to believe she needed to resort in violence. Valentina?"
"She provoked me!" She practically screams.
"Okay now, lets get our stories straight, that way they aren't stories and are facts. Okay?" I say to her.
"Watch your attitude when you are speaking." The principal says.
"Hm. Listen. While I was in line to get food, your daughter approached me. Not the other way around. She came over to personally deliver me a headache with unwanted problems. Okay? She came over trying to give me shit. Not the other way around. And I don't really think it is her position to tell me who and who not I am allowed to hang out with in my free time. Or is it? Please inform me if it is. I would love to know if us students how that power."
"No. No it is not. But no matter the reason, you do not get to lay your hands on any students here, including my daughter! You are going to be suspended." He says.
"Now-" I cut Antonio off.
"Okay, if that is the case then what is your daughter getting? Hm. She started it, and tried to lay her hands on me first. What I did was self defense. So, what is her punishment?" I ask.
"What punishment I give this student is not of your concern."
"But it was of her concern what mine was? See if I didn't know any better, I would say your playing favorites with you daughter."
"Nova will not be suspended for her actions." Toni says.
"Um. Antonio.... May I ask why you are defending this student who attacked my daughter." He asks, surprised for Toni's interference.
"Well one, it has been made very clear, that your daughter was the one to come at my sister and not the other way around." He says.
"What- Sister? Your- wait what?" he stutters over himself clearly confused.
"Two, Lorenzo should be here any minute, and he is not going to stand for a suspension." He says, and the principals eyes bulge from his head.
"He is already here, and you are right. I do not stand for this suspension." Lorenzo says walking in with Elio behind him. I swear this was straight out of a movie, and we need those fake 'woowoos' playing. The timing was just perfect.
"Mr Rizzo. I- My apologies. I had no clue she was your sister!"
"So what I am hearing is if she wasn't my sister, she would be punished for your daughters actions?" He says, clearly standing on business.
"I- no no of course not. But nothing should be solved with violence."
"Sorry to cut in. But weren't you the one who said if your daughter was going to use violence, she must have had a good reason for it? Quite the switch up if you ask me." Jax says with a shrug. I smirk internally at my best-friend.
"I am sorry. Your sister will not be suspended. Maybe a detention will be more appropriate." he says with sweat covering his face.
"I would be fine with that if you daughter is to get an appropriate punishment. as well." Lorenzo says.
"Yes of course."
"I will be checking to make sure of that." Lorenzo says.
"I didn't know she was-" Valentina starts.
"Save it. No matter, what your actions were not okay." Lorenzo says. "I am taking the kids home for the rest of the day." He says before walking out.
We all look around the room before quickly following.
