Nova

I love burritos.

Chipotle burritos to be more specific.

I walked through the door after going to the closest one, and thankfully the line isn't long.

It is almost my turn, and a guy had just walked through the door hoping in line behind me. He is old, roughly mid fifties.

I hear the door open again, but I am to busy being excited that it is almost my turn to turn and look. I sense the old guy moving a little bit into my personal space, so I take another small step forward. He clearly doesn't care because he takes an even bigger one, and I can feel him almost pressed up against me.

I turn around to face the impostor who clearly wasn't taught personal space while growing up, and catch that he was looking at my ass.

"Uhh excuse me. Could you, I don't know, maybe take a good step back, or even 2 would be better." I say with a sarcastic smile.

"Ahh, so pretty and whit. That is a great combo." He says with a gross smile while taking another step forward.

"Okay so I get this might be your mid life crisis or whatever, but even so, hitting on minors is illegal." I say.

"Age is just a number. Plus no one has to know." He says reaching out to grab ahold of my waist.

As I go to grab his wrist and pull out my signature move, someone else grabs his shoulder spinning the mid life crisis dude around, and then punches him square in the jaw.

That was supposed to be myyy victim stupid fucking pric- Oh of course. Andres had to come and play all 'hero' as if I couldn't handle myself.

Wait hold the fuck up.

"Why the fuck are you here? Weren't you the one who said 'there are like 3 different chipotles in the area, we don't have to go to the same one.'"  I say giving him my best impression of him, which involves a high pitch voice.

Damn my period can make me a bitch sometimes.... Oh well.

I know.. So immature.

"Seriously? That is what you are worried about right now?" He says rolling his eyes.

"Yes." I look over and see its my turn. "Ooo burrito time." I leave Andres with the old guy on the ground and give my order to the lady. "You can put more chicken on there... and more of that... yeah also a lotttt more cheese." You would think that from one girl to another, she would understand my hunger is endless.

"Alright your total is $9.49." I hand her a $10, tell her to have a good day, then walk out. I feel like I am forgetting something, but this burrito smells too good.

I sit on my bike, and open my burrito to at least take one bite before heading back to the school.

"Nova!" Oh right. That is what I forgot. I look up and see Andres walking over to me with his own burrito and internally roll my eyes.

"Can't I just eat in peace?" I say, more to myself.

"What the fuck was that back there?"

"Which part?" I ask.

"How about all of it? Your just gonna go on about your day as if he wasn't gonna touch you when you were basically telling him no?"

"Eh. You get use to it. At least he didn't smack my ass, my burrito order probably would have been delayed, and that would be sad." I say sighing, looking at my burrito.

"What the fuck! What the fuck do you mean you get use to it!? And smack your ass?! What?"

"Okay chill out for a minute. I thought you were aware of why I got arrested before coming here?"

"Yeah, which was fucking wrong on the police's part. But that was one time."

"Yeah, that you know about." I say as I roll my eyes. "I've been dealing with random perverts on the streets since I was like 12." But I was living with one before that.

Great now I feel like I can't even eat my burrito. I am gonna slap this bitch.

"Nova. That isn't normal. It's not something you should have to deal with, or anyone for that matter."

"Yeah, that is true. But it doesn't change the fact that I have and still do have to. Yeah its fucked up, but that is because the world is fucked up. But I can handle myself and you know that. So no more fake hero act. You can say you did your good deed for today, but seriously I can handle myself."

He shakes his head, which looked like it was from disappointment, before walking off back to his bike.

Yeah. Now I definitely can't eat my burrito right now.
