I met up with the Rizzo brothers at the fighting arena after I got done with my meeting.
I still cannot believe Nova is fighting Antonio, and my best-friend has no idea. I am partial to blame for that, as I could have told him. But for some reason I just couldn't. When she was in front of me, asking me to keep her secret, I felt compelled to comply. Like I just couldn't upset her. I also could have just not told her she was fighting her brother, and that way they both went in not knowing they were fighting each other. The only thing about that is she would have found out when she got in the ring since he wasn't wearing a mask. Her finding out on the spot could have caused her to lose focus, and the whole thing could have ended badly. And for some reason I couldn't just stand by and let it happen.
"Look who finally decided to join us." Elio says.
"I got held up a bit."
"Everything alright?" Enzo asks. Always the business man.
"Yeah no everything is fine just some shit I had to take care of." He gives me a firm nod while looking ahead.
"Should I give Nova a call? Just to check and see how she is doing?" Matteo asks no one in particular.
"Probably not a good idea, you heard her before we left. She was heading to sleep early. I don't know about you, but a angry tired Nova doesn't sound to pleasant." Mar says.
"Yeah hes right, that girls got fire." Elio says.
I look over and I catch Lorenzo's smirk. He isn't looking at his brothers, pretending to be focusing on something else, but really that is just a decoy.
"Oh shhhh guys its starting!" Elio practically squeals.
Elio is obviously rooting for his twin to win, but he has always taken an interest in Rose. That is because her and Toni were tied for first, but also because of her hidden mask. That has always fascinated him. To bad he doesn't know his sister is hidden behind it.
Rose and Cage both circle each other in the ring, him being the first to make a move. Nova skillfully dodges it though, sending a blow to him. And for some reason I find myself smirking that she got the first blow.

"Hey guys.. is it just me or do those moves look familiar?" Mar asks.
"I was thinking the same thing." Elio says. "I just can't pinpoint it. Andres?"
"A lot of fighters have similar styles in their techniques depending on who their trainer is." I shrug. I can't believe I just caught myself covering for her.
"Hm." is all that comes from Enzo.
"Yeah but... I don't know this is just different." Matteo says.
"They kind of fight alike up there." Elio says.
"That is what I was thinking." Mar replies.
Lorenzo turns his head away from the fight and looks at me. His eyes roam my face looking for answers as if he knows I am the one to carry them.
"OH SHIT. Guys look!" Elio yells. We look back to the fight to see Toni on the ground not able to get up, as Nova punches him repeatedly in the face."
"Fuck." Mar says.
Nova stands up leaving him conscious, and if I was to guess, it is because he is her brother.
"Wait.." Matteo says.
I watch as she crouches down in front of him, and just stays there for a minute. Next thing I know she is pulling over her mask, and 'oh shit' is right.
Nova pulls Toni off the ground and he just stares at her stunned. Gasps are heard and when I turn, I see all of the Rizzo brothers froze in place.
What did you just do sweetheart.
