"No fucking way." I say under my breath. My sister is standing inside the ring of an underground fight. A fight that was against my twin. My sister- My twin-
"Guys." Mar practically whispers.
"I know." I respond.
"The number one fighter..." Matteo trails off.
"How long do you think she has known?" Enzo asks no one in particular.
"Our sister is Rose!?" I say. How is that not the question that comes out of Enzo's mouth.
Nova turned away from Toni and is staring at us with a blank face.
"She is waiting." Enzo says.
"Waiting for what?" I ask.
"Our reaction. She is waiting to see how we react. Our sister isn't as naive as we thought. She knows more then she is letting on, and this right here shows."
"It took a fight against Toni for her to admit she knew that we did underground fights!?" Mar says.
"But that's her point." Lorenzo says.
"I am not following brother." Matteo says.
"Why should she have needed to tell us that she knew we fought. Why did't we tell her we did?"
"Oh." Matteo says.
"Because we were protecting her." I say.
"Why wouldn't she tell us that she fought?" Mar asks.
"Are you going to go up to complete strangers and tell them you do illegal fighting?" Enzo asks and Mar doesn't respond. "No? That's what I thought. We need to remember that even though we have all of our memories of her from when she was little, she has no recollection of us. She is smart. She isn't going to trust us right away. And her point is we are keeping secrets from her, and how is that supposed to give her a reason to trust us with hers?"
"So what are you saying Enzo?" I ask.
"I am not sure yet." Is all he says.
We all watch as Nova turns away from us to get out of the ring.
"Is that Jax?" Comes from Andres. It is the first thing he has said since Rose revealed she is Nova.
"Makes sense. He was always in the gym with her training." Mar says.
"Is that all you have to say to this whole thing?" I ask.
"Well I am still processing that your sister is the number one fighter in America." Andres says.
I catch Lorenzo wearing a proud smirk on his face.
"Yeah she is pretty badass." Matteo says.
"Pretty badass? Dude, she just took down our top fighter! She is the top fighter! I don't think 'pretty badass' covers that." I say.
