Chapter 61

Nova

When I walked through the front door I knew I was going to be walking into a bunch of angry brothers, but I didn't expect for them to all literally be waiting at the door.

"Am I just that amazing that I get to be greeted at the front door?" I say putting a hand over my chest. "If I request food are you gonna make it for me?"

"Nova-" Lorenzo says before his eyes drift over to find Andres walking in with me. "Why are you with my sister?" He asks.

"Well when these dumbos," Andres says while pointing to Toni and Elio. "Couldn't keep up and got stuck in traffic, I on the other hand was able to."

"So you just brought him there with you like it was no big deal?" Toni asks.

"No I didn't. I am still a little confused on that part because I was pretty damn confident that I lost all of you." I say sending a glare towards Andres and he just shrugs with a smirk.

"So you were there while she did her thing?" Elio asks with a hint of... jealousy? "You got to see her be Wendigo?!" Ohhhh right. 

"I really don't see the big deal. I took care of something just like you guys do."

"It's different."

"And why is that? Hm? Because I'm a girl?"

"No. Because we are always aware of what each other are walking into. You didn't even share where you were going. If something were to happen to you we wouldn't know where to start looking. Come on Nova; I would have thought with you dealing with this kind of stuff in the past, that you would have been smarter." Lorenzo says, and I would be lying if I said that didn't hurt.

"Okay well sorry I never had to worry about telling people my whereabouts before. Sorry that I am not used to having family around and that I have no idea how to be in one because the last one I was in would have hoped for that 'something to happen.' Okay? I had Jax. Just Jax. I love him to pieces, but that didn't require me to tell him where I was going all the time. And it wasn't that I was against you knowing where I was going. It was how they reacted at the school, and I also couldn't just out in say it in front of everyone. Even if I had told you, are you honestly telling me you would have let me go alone? Or at least you two? Because you guys seemed like there was no room for negotiating." I say and after a pause no one says anything. "Exactly. Now if you will excuse me I am going to Jax's. He and I have plans to go for a night drive like we used to do." I say trying to calm myself down. I probably wasn't being fair but I just have all these built up feelings and I just need to do something about them. Apparently a small bit of rage was that something.

"I don't think tonight-" Matteo starts to say nicely but I cut him off.

"Wasn't one of the rules, as long as I told you where and when that there shouldn't be an issue?" I say but I direct the response towards Lorenzo. When all I get is a sigh I turn back towards the door. "I will see you guys later." Before I fully go out the door I turn to Andres, "I already know they are going to ask questions, and I know that you will probably answer them anyway, but it makes me feel better to think I gave you permission. So say whatever." 

I left the house and once I got in my car I called Jax to let him know I was going to be a bit early.

Yes I know this was a very shorttttt chapter! I am thinking next chapter I will change the pov so we can see the convo that takes place in the house when Nova isn't there.
