040. don't blame me, love made me crazy
vivianne had stayed at a hotel that night. she couldn't go to sleep, though, the girl was basically tossing and turning all night, thinking about the argument she had with gracie. her words repeated in her head over and over, and it hurt her.
even though gracie was definitely right.
vivianne always felt like she was being a burden, so she wasn't really suprised that gracie had told her that. but it still hurt hearing it. when vivianne woke up the next morning, she didn't want to leave the bed, not even bothered to move at all. she didn't grab her phone to check her notifications, knowing she had gotten messages from gracie sent to her last night. she had just ignored it and went to sleep.
vivianne didn't know if she should just text gracie back and apologise for leaving, she was kinda realising it was stupid of her to do that. but she was upset and wasn't thinking properly last night, because she was drunk. vivianne had ended up buying a plane ticket new york city that afternoon, and left a few hours later without even telling gracie. she slept the whole flight to new york city, and she woke up right when they landed. when she entered the airport, she had finally ended up texting gracie and letting her know she went back to the city, and she didn't even check what gracie's replies were.
"hey!".
vivianne turned around after hearing a familiar voice, seeing adrien standing in front of the entrance of the airport, waving at her with a smile on his face. she gave him a small smile and walked up to her friend.
"thanks for picking me up," she mumbled, the two of them walking out of the airport.
"yeah, of course," he nodded, walking the girl over to the carpark and unlocking his car with his keys, "how was london? and paris?".
"yeah, it was fine," she shrugged, putting her backpack in the back before opening the passenger side door and sitting down, shutting the door while adrien went to the drivers side and opened the door, sitting down and closing the door, turning the engine on.
"just fine? dude, you got to see the fricking eiffel tower, i'm so jealous," he huffed, making sure no cars were driving past as he gently pushed his foot on the pedal, the girl playfully rolling her eyes and putting her seatbelt on. he got out of the carpark and drove away from the airport, and there was so much traffic, so he had to stop a few times and wait for the car in front of him to drive forward, "why'd you decide to come back here? isn't gracie still doing her tour?".
vivianne just nodded and looked out the window beside her, staring at the car next to them.
"yeah, she's really busy and i didn't want to distract her or anything," vivianne lied, adrien just nodding his head and staring out the windshield in front of them, pushing on the pedal when the car in front of him drove forward.
